I’m a photographer, a mom, a wife, a snowboarder, a surfer, a roller coaster enthusiast, a college instructor, and a former mechanical engineer. I recently earned my Ph.D. in Education (but you don’t have to call me Dr.)! I have an extremely short attention span, am addicted to wearing beanies, and am fueled by chai tea. I'm socially awkward most of the time I'm in public, and I make weird faces when I concentrate to take photos. I dress for comfort and for rolling around on the ground, standing in creeks, and climbing into trees to capture the best angles for my photographs — but I do clean up reasonably well on wedding days!

If you love colorful, vibrant, emotion-filled photos that will stand the test of time and remind you of what your wedding day FELT like, then I'm your girl! I believe in doing things how and because you want to, and because your heart and soul are telling you to, not because society says you should. I love that life is unscripted, and I love capturing that for my clients. I want to provide you with beautiful, emotion-filled images for your walls, so that on tough days (you know the ones I’m talking about) you look lovingly upon our images and remember what is REALLY important in life.

We used her for our engagement shoot & wedding photos. We didn’t realize that you should choose your wedding photography *style* before you reach out to potential photographers. If you go the other route—book first, learn about the style later—you may end up with photos that don’t match your vision. We came to Carrie after our first photographer disappointed us. She has more of a documentary style with less of an emphasis on the awkwardly posed photos. However, she will still go the extra effort to get an amazing poses shot if you ask. She has such a laid back and positive attitude. I recommend Carrie to anyone looking for beautiful images and a wedding day that doesn’t feel like a photoshoot. She’s a true professional.
