For as long as I can remember, I have held a fascination for photos. I love the idea that both the ordinary and extraordinary moments can be preserved. I was born and raised in a small town in Virginia. I left my town to go to college at Christopher Newport University, and again for graduate school at George Mason University.. I returned to my home town in 2009 to put down roots. Since that time, I have gotten married, and became a mother to two precious little boys.

Having children has been a true inspiration for me artistically, and I have greatly benefitted from practicing on them regularly. They are both conditioned to be camera-ready, and as they have grown, I have worked hard at honing my skills behind the lens.I love to capture both the big and small moments in photography, and often find that some of my favorite images are the ones that take place organically, laughter, a hug, or a private moment of contemplation can convey such great feeling and emotion.
