My name is Derrica and I’m 31 years old. Photography has been my passion since a child. Some days I still can't believe that I get to do this as my job. Photographs have the incredible power to make me feel happy, excited, reflective, proud, thankful, peaceful, and an abundance of love. I see something beautiful in everything and everyone. With a photojournalistic approach, my style reflects all of the emotions that your wedding day will bestow upon you and your loved ones. I am a storyteller. When I take photos, I am thinking about how I will tell the story later. Especially, at a wedding. There is a beautiful story behind every wedding and I deem it my job to make sure that the bride and groom never forget the story behind their special day. I do this by placing their photos in order. I do this by including the small details, like the invitations, the lyrics to songs, the speeches, etc.. Sometimes we forget how important those words are and how easy we can forget them. I’m the best photographer I can be.
