I’m Flora and I'm a California native who loves to travel and chase the light in Big Sur. I love to ski, snowboard, hike, kayak and explore new locations. I pair best with couples who seek adventure and give me their trust to capture their moments. I want to capture the wind in your hair, the way your hand reaches for your partner and the real way you embrace. I don’t want to be just another vendor on your list, I will be by your side all day, from lifting your dress so you can pee to patting down that stray piece of hair, let’s be friends while we do it!     Flora Review From the moment we stumbled upon Flora Gibson’s portfolio, we were instantly captivated by her ability to capture raw emotion and breathtaking scenery. It was in that moment that our search for the perfect photographer was at an end. From our initial interactions with Flora, we felt an immediate sense of ease and connection. Her warm and friendly demeanor put us at ease, making it effortless to discuss our vision for our elopement. Flora’s professionalism was evident as she took the time to understand our story and what moments were most important to us to capture. We knew we were in good hands when Flora asked us personal questions about our relationship through a special questionnaire to get to know us even better. She even wanted to know our favorite music choices so that she could help curate a playlist for the day. Music is an important aspect of our relationship, so it meant even more to us that she valued the importance of creating the perfect atmosphere for the day. Planning an elopement can be a bit nerve-wracking, especially when it comes to entrusting someone to capture the once in a lifetime moments. However, any worries we had quickly dissipated as Flora demonstrated her expertise and attention to detail throughout the process. She provided valuable guidance, ensuring that every aspect of the shoot, from lighting to composition, would be flawless. Her experience with elopements was clearly evident and immensely appreciated! Flora walked us through each step of the way, yet allowed us plenty of space and time to create our own intimate and private memories. From the forests of Oak Glen to the cliff sides of Soberanes, we shared intimate moments that will forever be treasured. What truly sets Flora apart is her ability to make couples feel genuinely unique and special. She went above and beyond to create an atmosphere that allowed our love and personalities to shine through, despite any feelings of awkwardness or discomfort. Flora’s talent lies not only in capturing beautiful photographs but also in cultivating an environment where we felt comfortable being ourselves. Any feelings of insecurities were quickly dissolved. We still don’t know how she managed to do it, but she somehow made us beginners look like we were seasoned models, as if we had done photoshoots many times prior. Her genuine enthusiasm and passion for her craft were infectious, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment of the shoot. She was able to draw out the most intimate moments of our embraces and capture them so effortlessly. When we received the photos from Flora, with expediency, we were absolutely blown away. Each image beautifully encapsulated the essence of our elopement, from the tender moments shared between us to the breathtaking vistas of Big Sur. Flora’s keen eye for detail and her ability to capture the raw emotions that unfolded during the day were truly remarkable. It was as if she had transformed our love story into a visual masterpiece. Many of those who have seen our photos have made comments about them looking as if they came straight out of the cover of a romance novel. There are no words to describe just how we felt reminiscing our elopement. Tears of gratitude, joy, and love have often been shed looking back on that November day.
