Heather has been shooting weddings for the past decade and is an award-winning photographer. Her work has been published in fashion-forward magazines and exhibited at Scope, Miami, FL, Woman Made Gallery, Chicago, IL, New Apostle Gallery, New York, NY, and other galleries. Olker Wedding Photo was featured on Zola as a preferred vendor and the business has earned “The Best of Weddings” award and the “Couple’s Choice” award. She is an expert in her field and holds a Master of Fine Art in Photography from the School of Visual Arts.

What sets us apart is our style. We have the ability to shoot high-quality results in both natural sunlight and low-light indoor situations for a colorful and dramatic style. We're great at both directed portraits and candid moments! We also have a unique consultative approach where and have various planned touchpoints with you to pull out and assess all your needs and make sure all your most important happenings are captured! We love our customers and treat them like friends here at Heather Olker Photography. Our most common feedback is "you captured our essence as a couple" and "we felt comfortable to be ourselves".

    If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, I’ll save you some time and introduce you to Heather! From day 1, Heather made us feel comfortable and at home, something we were so impressed with. During our engagement photoshoot, she provided us fun little games to get in the groove and captured special moments that we couldn’t have dreamed of. We were so excited to show off her work to family and even more excited for her vision on our wedding day. Leading up to then, she exceptionally communicated to us logistics and shot planning. She was very flexible and scheduled several meetings to really flush out our desired photos. Heather provided unique guidance that made preparation easy, especially with coordinating with our wedding planner. On our wedding day, we worked with Heather and Sihan, her second photographer. We also worked with Alex Yuan and Ben for videography. The whole team was a joy to be with, naturally guiding us and capturing candid moments we shared with our bridal party. Because of all the planning, the bridal party shots and family shots went very smoothly. Most importantly, we were blown away with our final photos. We were amazed by Heather’s dedication to her clients, providing us with so many perfectly crafted pictures. She also remained patient for months after the wedding, working with us to get our wedding album details in place. We could not be happier with the moments she captured on her camera, photos that we love to share with family and friends. Alex did a great job with video as well, even providing us with a trailer video while he edited the main video. We loved the cinematic take on our wedding day, painting a picture of both the intimate moments at the start of the day to the fun times in the evening. We would 100% recommend Heather and team for your engagement and wedding. Speaking from experience, they will seamlessly work with you to capture your special day and help share those memories for years to come!

    There is truly no better photographer than Heather. From our booking, to our engagement session, right down to the last seconds of our wedding and beyond, Heather never made us feel anything less than special. She listens to every single request, times everything PERFECTLY and gives you everything you could ever want. She truly makes the bride and groom feel so special, and makes every picture dream you can possible have come true. (She even got us to our cocktail hour 20 minutes early!!!) Heather answers texts and emails right away, gives guidance and feedback for things you would never even think of, and becomes a trustworthy friend throughout the whole process. We cannot say enough good things about her and how dedicated she is to her work, as well as how much you can tell she absolutely loves it! We want to hire her for every single special day in our lives from this point on! Look NO further than to book her for your special day, you will be SO happy you did it!

    Heather gave us the best photography experience we've ever had, especially considering how camera shy my fiance and I generally are. She really took the time to get to know the two of us as a couple through zoom calls and was always very understanding and enthusiastic. Not only were her people skills great, but her level of professionalism and quality of photos really showed. She presented us with dozens of amazing shots and provided suggestions that helped us pose within our comfort zones when we were taking photos. We never felt rushed and you could feel the love and hard work she puts into her creations. Definitely recommend working with her to anyone looking for someone down to earth, and delivers high quality work :)
