My name is Helena, pronounced Ha-Leen-nuh (don't worry I get it all the time haha) I am a San Francisco native and ex-Silicon Valley techie who decided to take leap of faith (during the pandemic) to pursue my dreams of being a full-time Wedding Photographer. This journey has been SO wild, but I don't regret a minute of it. When you hire me, you hire not only a photographer, but a planner and a cheerleader as well ;) If you like dogs or cats, coffee (oat milk lattes FTW), thriving plants, outdoor adventures, dancing, and sunsets, I think we'll get along great ;)

    Helena skillfully captured our most joyous and precious moments of our wedding day. She was everything we wished for in a wedding photographer and more! A unique vision. On multiple occasions, Helena would excitedly pose us in a certain position or she would run up some stairs to capture a certain angle. I knew I was watching an artist in her element. She is so stunningly creative in her use of the environment. My favorite example of this was when Helena had a whimsical idea to use the afternoon light through the window to cast a silhouette of us on the wall. The shot left us in awe. It is one of my favorites! The right time and place. Helena has a unique way of knowing what might happen next so she can position herself to capture subtle and sweet moments. For example, during the reception, right after we made our toast to all our guests, I sat back down next to my Mom who then leaned in for a quick hug and a kiss. I barely remembered it (was starving and a bit tipsy). Imagine my delight to find that precious little memory captured in the sneak peaks we received shortly after! I still can't believe Helena captured that. It's one of those "is someone cutting onions?" pictures that I will cherish. A friend. Helena made us feel at ease and comfortable throughout our three sessions: the ceremony, welcome party, and the reception. All our friends enjoyed their time meeting Helena and complimented her on her creativity (we heard all the ooh's and ah's as Helena was posing us). When we were posing with our parents who weren't very fluent in English, Helena spoke in Chinese to help direct them as well. Towards the end of our reception, we had to make sure we had a photo together so we can remember what a special part she had. We felt she went "above and beyond" for us. Helena is simply amazing. Hire her.

    I can’t say enough great things about Helena! We found her by briefly searching through Instagram and were in awe of her work. What stood out from the start was her unique ability to capture the happiest of moments, nothing ever looking staged or forced. She was so incredibly responsive right away! I proceeded to “interview” Helena and from the first phone conversation she put me at ease. I had “interviewed” at least 5-6 other photographers, and kept coming back to her galleries. On the day of our scheduled shoot, the Bay Area fire season led to some unpredictable issues - air quality, smoke and hazy sky. Helena worked with us through changing the original location two hours before the shoot and her positivity never skipped a beat. Throughout the photoshoot, it felt like we were hanging out with a close friend - Helena has a true talent for making people feel comfortable! She directed us through the process and contributed to many laughs along the way. Her beautifully captured photos were delivered in such a quick manner - I’m honestly stunned, don’t know how she does it! Thank you, Helena. We will be sure to work with her again in the future!

    Helena beautifully captured our elopement last month. Her photos are warm, natural, and full of personality. I don't think my husband and I could have been happier with how the photos turned out. We ended up taking formal wedding photos at the Palace of Fine Arts and some more casual couple portraits on Crissy Field Beach. The majority of the comments we got from friends and family were centered around how epic and awesome our photos turned out and how our photographer choice was a 10/10. Behind the scenes, she was an endless source of enthusiasm and encouragement, and gave us amazing posing tips and suggestions. Even prior to the big day, she meticulously spent time discussing outfits, locations, and logistics to make sure the day was perfect. We're so glad we were able to jump on the Helena rocket ship as her career as a full time wedding photographer takes off. After our session, our close friends were so impressed with our photos that they booked their engagement and wedding shots with her as well. We have no doubt that her accolades will pile up and she'll be a go to recommendation for our friends and family. Definitely book her for your engagement, wedding, and photo shoots!

    Helena has given us the greatest gift. No words can express how amazing these photos turned out. We are in awe and are overjoyed that we decided to hire Helena. My husband and I were unable to move forward with our destination wedding due to the pandemic but after working with Helena we have absolutely zero regrets. Helena was not only professional but SO much fun to work with. My husband is not the most comfortable in front of the camera- but her animated approach and prompting made us both feel so at ease. She captured our intimate moments and our personalities so perfectly. Her eye for capturing the light and landscapes resulted in stunning images you would think are unreal. She is a true artist. I cannot wait to frame and hang these photos in our home. Highly HIGHLY recommend. You will not regret choosing her to be a part of your big day.10/10. Five stars!
