Imagine Elopements Photography
Your earth loving, sun chasing Oregon elopement photographer. My work is ever evolving but my intention is always the same: to capture the essence of who you are and create timeless photographs that will always take you back to your incredible day.
I have traveled all over the world but I get to call Central Oregon my home. Born and raised in the midwest, I found my passion at an early age. I was always obsessed with magazines and pretty pictures so when I was old enough to buy my first camera, I’d dress-up my friends and experiment with poses, lighting and angles. Eventually, few friends would ask me to capture their weddings and the rest is history! I can honestly say I’ve found my calling because I’ve never wanted to do anything else. Established since 2010.

More than 'just' a photographer
I don't know where to begin. So I suppose at the beginning! Mia was so professional, took incredible and creative shots, had unparalleled attention to detail, and was just so dang friendly and awesome to work with! That being said, Mia was WAY more than 'just' a photographer. I'm from Oregon, but we live in NYC, so our wedding was a destination wedding for most. Mia had not only been to Crater Lake countless times, but she scouted out specific areas for me, sent me loom videos, and even woke herself up at the crack of dawn to scout out where a sunrise photoshoot would be best. Seriously - above and beyond! Oh, then she created this beautiful pdf of everything you need to know/prepare before the event. I mean, the details and even the aesthetic of the doc was fantastic. Another example - I had SO many issues in finding a hairdresser and I had vented to Mia about it. In no way did I think she'd respond the way she did. Her response was "oh no, that's not right. Let's start over." She then quickly got me several hair referrals and I did go with one of them (who was also excellent). Now - the micro ceremony, photoshoot, and then the reception the following day (i know, we were a lot!) ... I mean - she was AWESOME. She was the patient ringleader we all needed in corralling all of our family members in the right direction and orchestrating where we should go / what we should do and when the day of (again, MORE than 'just' a photographer). It was all crazy, fun, and chaotic, but then it came down to our First Look. She told me to ignore her, and just be in the moment and that this was a very special private time with just me and him - and to really enjoy it (I'm butchering this)- that's when I lost it and my waterworks started. It was what a caring friend would say - it was so kind, soft, genuine, and exactly what I needed to hear at the exact time I needed to hear it. Needless to say, all of the shots we had for the micro ceremony, sunset photoshoot (we nixed sunrise bc we wanted to sleep in the day after haha), family portraits, and dinner were done flawlessly... and not just flawlessly, but Mia just brought the best positive energy and made it so memorable! She brought tons of lenses, and even props and bug-spray for us (I definitely didn't think that). None of the poses were or felt cheesy - and I know that's not always the case. Because you're having fun, it becomes natural and organic. Now post wedding, etc, she gave us access to the website with all of our photos. First, it was organized in a very logical way (thank god!!) with Previews, First Look, Ceremony, etc etc. All in sequential order. We had another reception over here on the East Coast and I can confidently say that not everyone organizes their photos this way - or is anything like Mia. It made it very easy to show them to everyone, and create albums, and Christmas gifts. These are photos of a lifetime that we will always be able to look back on and remember as the best day of our lives. She was able to capture it all perfectly. Truly. These are just a few examples (yes, there are more), but as you can see, Mia was WAY more than 'just' a photographer. She really made it all happen and it would not have gone off without a hitch without her. If I could give her 10 stars, I would! You really won't find anyone like Mia. She blows any bar out of the water.
Absolutely AMAZING.
As two VERY busy people who get camera shy, my husband (eeek! Crazy I get to call him that!!) and I do not have many photos together that are worthy of framing, or even posting on socials for that matter. So going into this experience, I knew we needed someone that could make us feel comfy, capture who we actually are as a couple, and be able to organize all the behind the scenes aspects of our sessions. In walks Mia. Mia took care of quite literally every aspect of our sessions. We did an engagement and elopement session at Mt Ranier in November. She drove up several days BEFORE our scheduled shoot to scope out the area, take notes on open paths, gauge the sunrise and sunsets, prepare for the weather changes, etc etc. Literally all the things that we would never have thought of, she did. We had a Pinterest board of outfits and inspo, a packing list of items we most def did need, phone calls to get to know each other, a centralized location for anything related to our sessions, and most importantly: peace of mind. I cannot rant and rave about how flawless the process was leading up to our sessions with Mia. Then the day of, we could not have asked for a more intimate and perfect day. Mia was so sweet, boosting us as a couple but also stopping to fix my hair or helping us to get those perfect swoon-worthy shots with poses we wouldn't have thought to do. However, it truly felt like we were in our own little world and Mia was just a fly on the wall. I feel like the pictures truly encompass how we are as a couple, which is so rare and beautiful of a thing to capture. Just go to her website, all of her work speaks for itself. If you want to see our pictures, we are "Liz and Cameron". The moments she captured are being framed for our home and have been shared endlessly. They are absolutely timeless. We cannot wait to see Mia again to capture more of our lives together.
Perfectly capture all of the emotions of the day.
We initially planned to elope at Crater Lake, which led us to Mia and Imagine Elopements. However, as the date approached, we opted to elope at our beautiful rented property to avoid added stress. Mia was exceptional throughout the planning process. She is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but she is also friendly, attentive, and highly responsive, going above and beyond in her follow-through. Her expertise regarding Crater Lake, including permits, trails, and requirements, was impressive. She even contacted the park on our behalf to ensure everything was in order. Mia also knows the surrounding areas well and recommends trustworthy local vendors and activities geared toward our interests. Mia truly understood our vision for a stress-free, enjoyable day with our kids in a natural setting. Her flexibility (including her willingness to officiate our ceremony as well) allowed us to experience the day our way, resulting in photos that perfectly capture all of the emotions of the day. We adore the photos and relive our special day every time we look at them!
So far above and beyond my expectations
I truly can't say how great it was working with Mia for our wedding at Crater Lake. She was professional and fun the entire time and went so far beyond what was required. Frankly she could have doubled her price and I am still unsure if it would have covered all she did for my wife and I. From the extensive lists, scouting out the area, finding the perfect points for the shoot and being nothing but accommodating the entire time. Instead of feeling like the photographer is a hindrance during the day, taking you out of your moments, she felt like she was part of the family and took some truly gorgeous photos. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better photographer or person for my wedding, don't even think about it, if you're looking for someone to capture a moment, I assure you Mia will go above and beyond expectations.
