I began my career a decade ago. As a tour photographer, I began accompanying musicians all over the world. Little did I know at that point the low lights, high energy, and late nights would translate well into my career as a wedding photographer. My start as a music photographer gave me the confidence to navigate even the most challenging and unpredictable situations, and I use the same philosophy now while photographing weddings: keep calm, stay observant, and follow the action.

For me, it's about the people–the most special people in your life coming from near and far to unite and celebrate you. The hugs, the tears, the toasts. I want you to remember every moment of your day the way it truly happened–how it felt. My style is a mix of clean, timeless portraits and the perfectly-imperfect documentary images. I believe in getting to know each one of my couples to make the most authentic images possible.

My wife and I worked with Jess over this past year for engagement photos and coverage of our wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). The engagement photos were done in NYC and the wedding was at a venue outside of Philadelphia. It was a true pleasure to work with Jess. She is extremely skilled, knowledgeable, communicative, and prepared. The quality of the work in her portfolio speaks for itself but I cannot overstate how thrilled my partner and I are with the photos. She managed to capture so many lovely moments and the spirit of the day. The intimacy and beauty she brings out with her portraits are astounding—I have never felt more comfortable being in front of a camera and I have never loved the result so much. The variety of the media brings a beauty to the detail I didn’t think I would care about—the place settings, the venue, and everything else look great and are considered in composition and lighting. None of the photos delivered are there just to check a box. The amount of preparation and work she puts in for each job is evident just by the uniquely specific nature of her questionnaire—her questions were helpful for us in planning! She was always quick to email us back when we had questions for her and helpful in ways we never would have expected—good news if you don’t know how to pin a boutonniere, Jess does (and she brought extra pins). The amount of choices for any type of wedding vendor is overwhelming. You would be lucky, as we were, to choose Jess.

As a wedding planner, we are always looking for talented photographers to recommend to our clients and Jess is someone we routinely recommend. Her approach to photography is authentic and personal and photos are always filled with so much emotion. She seems to perfectly capture couples in a way that allows you to feel like you know them and their personal story. She is perfect for couples looking to have their day captured naturally and not in a forced style. Along with her talent, Jess is a joy to work with on wedding days. She's a quit yet quick, seeming to always be where she needs to be at exactly the right moment without having a camera in your face. With so many photographers out in the market, it can be hard to stand out, but Jess has seemingly found her place in this industry and her work speaks for itself. Any couple would be lucky to have her capture their day and any vendor is lucky to work alongside her.

From the moment we met Jess, we knew she was our photographer, but not in the way that people say retrospectively. We were so excited after our meeting that we could barely wait until we got home to sign and tell her (we called out of joy) that she was going to be a part of our big day. She knew exactly what questions to ask to help us figure out what we wanted. We spent hours together at our engagement shoot without realizing how much time had passed because she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We can't recommend her more. When someone loves what they do, they shine, and as a result, you shine. That's what you're getting when you work with her. We couldn't be happier with the quality of her work, the insanely efficient communication, and to have spent the last year working with someone who is truly excited and passionate to make your experience perfect.

From the very first wedding that Jess and I worked together, I knew I had found "the one." Photographing alongside other artists typically comes with some growing pains, however working with Jess was effortless from the beginning. She has a talent, creative eye, and sensitivity that is unparalleled. Her ability to create beautiful images while gracefully navigating complex dynamics and stressful moments on a wedding day makes her a magician in my eyes. I continue to learn something from her every time we're together. Highly recommend.
