Hi There! I'm Katherine (or Kay!). I've loved weddings for as long as I could remember and I believe I have one of the best jobs in the whole world. I love being able to capture moments from one of the best days of a couples lives and I get to do it alongside my best friend, my Husband. You could call us nerds; we love Harry Potter, puzzles and video games. Our favorite vacation spot is definitely Las Vegas and we both love good Mexican food. We have two fur babies; Bella and Betsy and yes they are so spoiled. The Husband, Abraham (or Bram) is also an engineer when he's not capturing weddings and a Cal Poly alum.

As a Husband and Wife team we are so in sync on your wedding day. We know exactly how to work together to give our couples the best experience we can. We believe in giving our couples not just pretty photos, but a whole experience when they choose us as their wedding photography (and/or videography) team. Through our training and experience we can handle a wide variety of unexpected situations; helping keep your day fun and stress free.

    Kay and Bram were an absolute joy to work with! It also helped they are total dog lovers like my husband and I, and captured the absolute best images of our boy, Maverick. I don’t think there was one moment where we were NOT smiling or laughing around these two, and it put my anxious mind completely at ease. They are affordable, hard-working, and completely matched our photography vision (lighter) for our most important day. I don’t think there are enough words to express my gratitude for the talent these two possess, but for now…thank you, Kay and Bram, for everything you have done for us.     Kay is simply the best photographer on the planet, me and my husband are from Italy and France and we’ve never met a photographer that is so professional, optimistic and fun. It’s like an old friend is taking pictures of you, she makes you feel very comfortable and knows how to make you look beautiful on your special day. We’ve hired her for our engagement session back in 2018 and now for our wedding on May 8th. What else is there to say? Be ready Kay. We’ll hire you so many other times and be ready to fly to Italy in a couple of years.

    Kay & her husband both do amazing work! They make you feel comfortable and calm on a stressful day, & they truly capture all of the beautiful moments that come with a wedding.     Kay was all around amazing. She's very nice and easy to work with. We got way more photos than expected from our wedding day. & every time I reached our to her when something in the wedding changed she was easy and available to contact. I would most definitely recommend Kay Mitchell Photography for future weddings ! We love reminiscing our wedding day with our photos and we couldn't be happier !
