Hi, I'm Andrea. I'm a full-time photographer based in the wild north of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I specialize in nature elopements and small, intimate weddings in the UP and throughout the state of Michigan. My biggest passion is to be able to document your love story in creative, hauntingly beautiful, timeless images for you to keep forever. And give you an experience that allows you to relax, be yourself, and savor all the moments without pressure.
I’m here for the dreamers, the adventurers, and the unconventional souls. For those who care more about capturing the real moments and emotions instead of the predictable or expected. The introverts, the nature-lovers, and the ones who just want to be able to relax and enjoy their experience without pressure or expectations. I am here for those who care about the experience and story as a whole, not just a handful of pretty pictures. Hire a photographer, gain a friend.
I knew I wanted to work with Andrea immediately from viewing her work on her Instagram page. Her style was exactly what my husband and I were looking for in regards to how we wanted our wedding day documented. Every exchange and phone call with Andrea was as if I was talking to a life long friend who just happened to live 7 hours away. The first time meeting Andrea we also got to meet her assistant Shonda who was the one to shoot our wedding since Andrea was already booked for our date. We planned to view some location sites and ended up just sight seeing around the UP and having an amazing day! Andrea is so passionate about the UP and loves sharing amazing places and local stories with people she meets, we almost forgot we were looking for ceremony locations. We ended up doing a short engagement shot with Andrea which was so comfortable and relaxing and fun to do! Everything she directed us to do was natural and photographed beautifully. She always claims she’s awkward but don’t let her fool you. She will 100% get distracted by rocks, flowers, or mushrooms though, and if you have any interest in nature she is someone you should definitely work with. When our wedding weekend came around, there was some challenges with some strong winds, so the ceremony location the day before of the wedding needed to be changed. Andrea and Shonda scouted new locations for us and found the most beautiful location, it was so perfect I dare say it turned out better than the original location and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. Shonda was amazing to work with the day of the wedding, her and Andrea have similar personalities and work styles it was such a pleasure to have her shoot our wedding for us. More so it was SUCH a pleasure meeting these two amazing ladies who were played such an important part in our wedding day. I cannot recommend Lume Photography and Andrea and Shonda enough. They do everything they can to make sure your wedding day is all about you and your partner and make everything so relaxed for you, that you can focus on the love you share on your day.

Working with you was a dream! You are such a lovely, fun, and down to earth individual to be around. Your organization, timeliness/responsiveness, and openness with communication made you incredibly easy/stressfree to work with. There was no point in time during the year where I felt anxious or uncomfortable about getting more information or asking questions. Your excitement to be with us and document us was incredible, and one of a kind! I am thankful for all the resources/guides on your website and your specific tips that helped us plan our elopement with guests. I didn't even know where to start with a timeline, but once you heard what we wanted it was so easy to customize it for us. Despite the fun and chaos, you are go-with-the-flow and have strength behind the scenes because somehow you discreetly and quietly captured so many details and beautiful moments that we wouldn't have otherwise even experienced. I also could not believe the speed at which you surprised us with the sneak peaks and the full gallery. We were blown away again and again with how well you have truly nurtured your craft, and seeing the photos definitely transports us back to that marvelous day! Such is the magic of your work. For anyone looking to have an elopement or microwedding, your skill and talents are worth the investment and I would not hesitate to recommend you. Thanks again Andrea!!

Andrea has such a unique and beautiful way of storytelling through her photography. She makes you feel extremely welcome and comfortable from the very first moment you reach out to her. The prices are very reasonable and she is transparent with the costs up front. Working with Andrea felt like reconnecting with an old friend. She gave us recommendations for lodging, restaurants, ceremony locations, etc. We were totally blown away by the beauty of the spots she took us for our elopement. We chose a location in Copper Harbor and it was so magical. Andrea made our day feel very intimate and intentional, which is exactly how we wanted it. After our day, we received a sneak peak of photos which I would have been happy if those were all we got. BUT when we received our full online gallery, I was speechless. The gallery is available for a whole year with options to download, share, and order your images in many different formats. It is so convenient being able to do all of that in one place. So if you are looking for a unique experience with high quality photos, that will have you reliving your wedding day from start to finish, hire Andrea!! You won't regret it 3

Andrea is absolutely incredible. Wonderful to work with, very organized and professional. My husband is visually impaired and she helped direct him for our wedding photos with kindness and professionalism. We got married in 2016 and I still love looking at our wedding photos to this day.
