I’m Katy, a Michigan based wedding + event photographer. I’ve been photographing weddings since 2016. My love for photography started out when I was about 6 years old. I’m a huge goofball, so if you’ve ever thought “I’ll be too awkward in photos," I know what you mean. We can be goofballs together, and I promise I won’t let you look awkward in any of your photos. A little more about me: I'm a foodie. Send bar/restaurant recommendations please! I spend a good portion of my time at concerts when I'm not photographing anything. I'm also a HUUUUGE Detroit Red Wings fan, if you're into any of that, we'll get along great!
I don’t like to put my work into one box. My work can be a little documentary + storytelling, it can be classic, it can be candid, it can be editorial, it can be romantic, it can be all of the things. My work tends to be on the more vibrant + contrasty, warm and moody side of things though. Creating a relationship before the wedding day, and being there for your journey is so important to me because I strive to be a safe space and a new best friend for my clients. Not to mention, I feed off my clients energy, it helps me capture the day in the best way possible.

Best Photographer Ever!
Hiring Katy was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Our pictures are beyond perfect! We love every single one and friends and family still rave about them even years later. She brought so many fun ideas for different poses and made sure that we got every single picture that we had on our list. It really felt like she tailored how she shot to fit us as a couple and our pictures definitely show it! All of our pictures have our personality in them and they are just absolutely beautiful!
