About Right Here Photography

For over 14 years, I’ve been one of the lucky ones who gets to have my passion also be my profession. Under the big skies of Wichita, Kansas, where I was born and raised, I bought my first DSLR camera in 2008 and was hooked for life. Then I landed a job with a national portrait studio and was suddenly getting paid to do what I loved. My love for the craft took me to several cities as a regional manager, and eventually landed me here in Cincinnati. Though I moved on from that job, Cincinnati sunk its claws into me for good. I, my wife Katie, and our four (or more depending on when you ask) beloved cats now call the Queen City home.

I’ve got a lot of photography experience under my belt: some 150 weddings and engagements spanning over eight years, and several years of portraits as well. I thrive in the realm of the candid and photojournalistic, but also have a keen eye for posing people in naturally flattering ways. I can capture a loving glance between a bride and groom just as well as I can make a pile of old coins look like a million bucks. Clients I’ve worked with like me because I put them at ease, I make them laugh, and I deliver their photos with the highest standards of professionalism and perfectionism.

We’ll meet once before the wedding to put together a timeline that will get the most out of the time we have together on your big day. 6-8 weeks after your wedding, you’ll receive an online gallery of 200+ tastefully edited high-resolution photos so you can relive the magic.

Description

You’ll get two photographers on your wedding day for eight hours. Aerial drone photos are included (weather, time, and location permitting). In the weeks leading up to your wedding, we’ll meet with you to nail down a comprehensive day-of timeline and plan the nitty gritty of getting the shots you want, where you want them, at the right time. 6-8 weeks after your wedding, we’ll deliver an online gallery of 400+ professionally edited high-resolution photos for you to treasure and share.

Description

You’ll get two photographers on your wedding day for as many hours as you want. All day, all yours. Aerial drone photos & photo booth are included. We’ll do an engagement photo shoot so we can get to know each other and get a head start on figuring out what makes you laugh and smile. 6-8 weeks after your wedding, you’ll receive an online gallery of 600+ beautifully edited high-resolution photos so you can remember every moment.

    Jason and Katie were an absolute joy to work with! My husband and I booked them to photograph our December 2023 wedding and they made the entire process so simple and stress-free. They included an engagement photo session ahead of the wedding so we had the chance to get a feel for being in front of the camera, plus we got some gorgeous photos for our save the dates. They were there for the entire wedding day, so they captured a ton of great candid shots every step of the way, from the bridal party getting ready, to the pre-wedding set up, to the dance floor at the reception. In addition to all the great candids, they were full of ideas for our couple and bridal party photos, and we were blown away by how gorgeous the pictures turned out. They had the perfect mix of giving us direction so we were framed and posed well without making us feel overwhelmed. We couldn't be happier with both the photos and the overall process of working with Right Here Photography. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

    Jason is an amazing photographer. He’s quiet but thoughtful and catches all the important behind the scenes moments. Jason helps guide people into creating genuine moments and his easy going demeanor helps people relax. He’s extremely proficient with camera equipment and off-camera lighting in tricky situations. You can count on him to get the shots in harsh sun or dark receptions. He’s confident in his work and it shows through his images. If you want someone knowledgeable and artistic then @righttherephotography should be your first choice!

    We hit the jackpot with Jason as the photographer for our wedding in Cincinnati, OH (via Wedding Bug). He was beyond spectacular- Calling the week before exactly when planned to iron out details, ensure we were all on the same page, and was already so nice to work with and clearly wanted to capture our special day precisely how we wanted. Unsurprisingly, he arrived promptly day-of and went ABOVE & BEYOND- Maneuvering into any needed position to get the best shot, making goofy faces for our kids to smile, kindly getting unruly groups’ attention to look at the camera, keeping checklists of group photos, and being chill to roll with whatever we asked while remaining extremely efficient to quickly get the right equipment for various types of lighting/ locations. He even risked some incredible shots in the middle of a busy street for us! This is who you want. We truly can’t say enough amazing things about this awesome, kind, professional, talented man :)

    As a mobile DJ I can't say enough about this company. I really enjoy when I find out that I will be working with Right Here Photography. They are always professional in everything they do. Still to this day I can't stop looking at the photos from the past events that we have done together. Not to mention how many times I have seen them really go out of their way to make sure their customers are satisfied.
