For me, photography all started with the outdoors. As someone who loves to bike, hike, kayak, and backpack, photos were a way to capture the vistas and memories I was creating. Photography snowballed into sports, journalism, concerts, products, events, portraits, finally landing on weddings. Weddings became what I loved most due to their fast pace nature, creative freedom, and the opportunity to document real, life-long memories. Every couple and every family has a unique, incredible story. It’s a blessing to be able to document these life-changing events that people can look back on forever.

Your wedding should not feel like a production. I want to get to know you and what matters to you, then give you the freedom to experience your wedding adventure to the fullest. When you are able to be present, THAT is when you will get images that you love, images that feel like you.

    Rob did an amazing job. The guests loved him and he really got some amazing shots. He got down on the ground, climbed fences, and ran all over the place to get the shot when we thought of it. He make everyone comfortable and really make sure to get those shots during the wedding with dancing and fun

    I enthusiastically recommend Rob for all your photography needs. He is super personable, affordable, and his photos are absolutely stunning. Rob photographed our wedding and what initially set him apart was his video messages and desire to have video meetings (we got married during the COVID-19 pandemic). At first, we found it a bit unusual, but we quickly realized that the video calls made it so much easier to get to know Rob and build a connection, particularly during a time when in-person meetings aren't an easy option. We had a few video calls to talk through our vision and hopes for the wedding day. Rob also walked us through examples of weddings he had done that would be similar in style to ours so we could get a sense of his artistic approach. We could immediately tell that he was very thorough and detail-oriented. As we were planning out the day, Rob gave super helpful suggestions, demonstrating his knowledge of what worked in the DC area (including at the Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial, and the DC War Memorial) from a photographer’s perspective, and helped us develop a realistic plan for the day given our time together. On the wedding day, Rob made us feel very comfortable - both with him and with having our photo taken as we were newbies at that. And all of our guests felt the same way as he was organizing the after ceremony family portraits. He also turned around the final product in a very timely manner (within one month), and provided a sneak peak within the first week. We were completely blown away. The photos were vibrant, creative, and captured the joy and memories of the day so well. Family and friends are already hanging them up in their houses.

    We hired Rob for our wedding in Aug 2019 in Norfolk, VA. Having worked with Rob before when I used to photograph weddings, I knew he had a creative eye, captured moments of true emotion very stealthily, and processed his photos in a more natural look rather than relying on heavy filters or overly exposed light. His style was exactly what we wanted. He was easy to work with throughout the whole process and really took the time to learn more about me and my husband. I love the portraits from both our engagement session and wedding. We received so many compliments from family and friends about Rob’s amazing work. We highly recommend Rob as a photographer!!!

    Rob was not only a responsive and professional photographer, but he did an incredible job of capturing our day. We love our photos and looking through them makes us feel like we are re-living our day! The emotion and stories are so present in the shots. It is evident how much heart Rob puts into his work, and working with him is a breeze. We're lucky to have found him, and if you have too, don't hesitate to book him!
