I’m Sarah, wedding + elopement photographer documenting true and heartfelt moments wherever your little heart desires. My husband, Ryan is my adventure-loving second photographer and ordained officiant (yep, he’ll marry you!). We are city-dwelling nature lovers who strongly believe in having a good time. We call Pennsylvania home but travel all over to photograph couples in love. When not behind the camera or working on the computer, we enjoy cocktails, coffee, cats, and hiking with our toddler, Brooklyn.

We aren't your traditional wedding photographers. Yes, of course we always capture those formal family photos, but the vast majority of your wedding photos will tell the story of your day. None of this “laugh on the count of 3” stuff over here. Instead, our approach involves creating a comforting environment that allows for flattering authenticity. We create a series of heartfelt photos that tell a story; the happy tear rolling down your face to the belly laughs shared with the people who matter most. Your true moments are artfully documented so the memories can be revisited.

    To me, the photographer is the most important vendor that you'll hire. When our wonderful day is over, our most cherished memories are the photographs. Sarah is incredible at her job. On both our engagement photo shoot and wedding day, Sarah made my now husband and I feel so comfortable. Both of our days were horrible snowy and rainy weather and she had a smile on her face, upbeat personality, and was ready to brave the elements with us. In both sets of photos we look at them and it takes us back to how we felt on those days. She did an incredible job of capturing us and the love we have for each other. She listens to you and is extremely flexible if you ask for something specific to be captured. She's organized and you can tell she really loves what she's doing. She was great to work with! We're so unbelievably happy that we booked her, thank you!! Also follow her on instagram- her stories with her husband and kids are adorable.

    Sarah was honestly unbelievable. She photographed our engagement photos wedding and we couldn't be happier. She is based in PA and came all the way to NYC to photograph our engagement photos so we could do it in our hometown. We aren't the most comfortable with posing for pictures, but Sarah made the experience beyond fun. She had us laughing the entire time, which made the pictures feel incredibly authentic and not posed. Then came our wedding & she did a 11/10 job on. It was in Baltimore and she was reliable, organized & made it fun for all of us. She photographed our day with her husband Ryan and he was also great. They have such a cute dynamic. Our bridal parties even had so much fun taking pictures. They said she was the best wedding photographer they have ever had. Sarah sent us some photo highlights a few days after our wedding and even sent our full album a month earlier than planned. My husband and I still can't stop scrolling through pictures from our day, they are just beyond beautiful and capture our emotions completely. We will be using her for many more events in the future and can't recommend her enough!

    Sarah is literally the BEST. I am so glad I found her two years ago and she agreed to be our photographer!! You don’t realize how important a GREAT photographer is until you get your pictures back. WOW. We haven’t even gotten the full gallery yet (our wedding was only 5 days ago) but I couldn’t wait to write this review in case it helps another bride make one of the most important decisions on her list! Sarah’s personality is the best and she somehow manages to get a shot of every little thing in little to no time. She simultaneously makes sure everything gets done and the show stays on time while also making the couple feel like they’re forgetting that they’re being photographed. She’ll get the best candid photos but also ask you prompts to elicit emotions so your photos are actually real, not phony looking. I could go on and on - THANK YOU, Sarah (& her awesome husband Ryan) for shooting our big day so perfectly!!!

    When we were planning our wedding, I knew that our photographer was one of the most important decisions because once that magical day is over, the only thing you will have from your wedding day (aside from a spouse and your memories!) are the photos you will have to look back on! So it was an easy decision for us to go with Sarah Brookhart. She is an absolutely incredible photographer, and you can see that in all of her photos, but her most exceptional skill is her ability to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera!!! Sarah took our engagement and wedding photos, and we were so nervous for our engagement photos because both my husband and I are not naturals in front of the camera. But, Sarah effortlessly makes it such a fun experience, and in doing so she captures natural and loving photos for you to treasure. It was so nice going into our wedding day knowing that Sarah would do exactly the same in capturing our love and all of the special moments from that day. Our photos are beautiful, and we highly recommend working with Sarah for all of your photo needs!! Oh, and we got our wedding photos back soooo quickly!!! In addition to the online access you have to your photos, she also sends you a beautiful package with all of your photos printed, as well as a USB with all of your photos. She goes above and beyond through all parts of the process, and it is absolutely worth every penny to work with her!
