Just a little backstory on how I got into this business. When I was a child, I loved taking pictures of everything. And I mean everything! (I get that from my mom.) Now my dad didn't share this same joy as me because back then it was all film and every snapshot I took...he knew he had to pay to develop. We love to look back on that time of my life now and see where it got me. Its a funny story to reflect on, but so rewarding to see a joy turn into a passion and that passion turn into a career!

I fully believe your day should reflect who you are as a couple and I always encourage my couples to follow the way they feel their day should look. I'm an open book ready to give you pros and cons to all sorts of scenarios, but also the first to remind you that it's your choice! Whether you elope or have a large wedding, do a first look or see each other the first time down the aisle, have the bouquet toss or toss the tradition; it should be about what speaks to you and reflects your personalities. And you'll have me encouraging you the whole way even if your closest family doesn't quite agree.

If you want someone who will get excited about your creative vision and go out of their way to help make it happen, Skylar is your photographer! I had an idea to take some unique photos in a specific location, and she without question let me know she had experience in what I was looking for. On the day of our photoshoot, she went above and beyond to get the right shot and made us feel really comfortable getting our photos taken in public (which isn't easy to do!). Skylar really made our engagement photoshoot so memorable and special, I am so grateful to her for the care she put into our session. The photos turned out great too!

Words can’t explain how happy we were to have Skylar capture our wedding day and engagement photos! She is extremely easy to work with through the entire process. I cannot say enough about how happy we are with Skylar...my partner and I agreed hiring her was the best money we spent on our wedding. Photos mean so much to us, and I couldn't be happier that we trusted her for our wedding and engagement photos. She is communicative, friendly, responsive, and punctual. She has amazing instincts and did an incredible job of making us feel relaxed on both of our shoot days. She captures a perfect balance of staged and candid photos with perfect composition. Sneak peeks were provided for our photos and the full libraries were delivered on time in an easy to access format. I appreciated the surveys she sends out to get to know you better before shooting.
