If you're the kind of couple that would prefer their photographer feel like one of the guests as opposed to a paparazzi, and if when the neighbors complain about the noise, you just invite them to the party, keep reading. I take a documentary-style approach to my weddings. Roaming with a camera, I capture the candid moments and small details that make your wedding unique to you, while making sure to set aside time for a few special portraits.

While most of photography (including mine) is digital, I began by learning in the darkroom. My appreciation for the organic-- along with big helpings of wanderlust, curiosity, and awe-- lead me to capture weddings for what I believe they are: celebrations and relief that in this giant cosmos, you two found each other. Oh, also, I've been shooting these for over a decade, I'm a runner, and I've worked for some insane NYC bosses, so I've got the whole left-brain/fast-paced organization part of this down.

Steph was our spectacular wedding photographer this summer, and she blew us away with her creativity, warmth, and skill. She is such a joy to work with, and pours her heart into the process of capturing love on film! Steph is professional and accommodating and made sure that our love story was showcased in the photos. Her attention to detail is superb--she made one photo that was an overlay of my Maid of Honor's speech with the photo of her delivery that is an absolute piece of art! Steph is also just a really cool and interesting person that anyone would be lucky to share space with! She made out guests feel comfy and beautiful, and we cannot recommend her enough!!!!

So first I should say—the photos are gorgeous. Steph did an amazing job capturing the experience of the day (which is exactly what I wanted) and made sure to get photos of everyone I had specially mentioned. Multiple people stopped me during my wedding to tell me what a good job she was doing. If you want photos that look like YOUR wedding instead of everyone else's, book Steph. But I want to also say, it's not an understatement that we could not have pulled off our wedding without Steph. We had to massively shift our wedding plans the morning of our ceremony due to severe weather. Steph helped us find new locations for family photos, helped us figure out the best lighting in our new ceremony location, and so much more. Despite our stress levels, getting our photos taken one ended up being a true highlight of the day. Steph radiated calm and infectiously fun energy throughout the whole experience. I was confident the photos would be great—and they really, really are—but the level of care Steph put into helping make the WHOLE experience special was truly incredible.

Stephanie was an incredible photographer for our engagement shoot and then our actual wedding day! At our first shoot, she worked through posing with us and helped us to get comfortable with both the camera and each other in a way that really helped remove any potential awkwardness or stiffness for our wedding day. Throughout the lead up to the wedding, she was prompt and communicative, responding quickly to ideas and inspirations we had and in general helping assuage any concerns that arose. On the day of, she was a STAR. Steph joined us early in the day for some getting ready shots and from that point on, blended so seamlessly into the background that I was genuinely surprised the 3 times I saw her (all 3x were to grab us for agreed upon shots with family, friends and each other). Our wedding guests were equally impressed with how unintrusive she was throughout the ceremony and dinner - something I appreciate so deeply as we wanted this to feel like a fun night out with friends in Brooklyn, and she inherently understood what we were going for, which was reflected in both her presence and the photos, On the photos, they were STUNNING. We wanted several vogue-esque posed photos with our wedding party and then more in the moment capture of the rest of the night, and Steph nailed it. Every photo felt thoughtfully curated, and the entire collection represented our day perfectly. All key moments were captured along with some wonderful ones that I wasn't aware of as I was too busy dancing. Our dog was part of the wedding, and Steph worked so wonderfully with him, incorporating him in all important shots and in general, loved on our little guy so much. In conclusion, Steph is thoughtful and talented - a dream of a vendor and an asset to any event you would hire her for!
