About Zoe Yates Photography

Zoe Yates Photography

Wedding Photographer

As both a photographer and writer, I've found my niche focusing on the bits that make up each love story and wedding day. The quiet moments, the fierce ones, the happy and nostalgic ones. While I make sure clients get all the shots they need, my focus is to simply capture the day as it happens, documenting the moments that will fade from memory as time goes by. My style has a modern twist on classic photojournalistic-style—true to life color with a bit of mood, at times sharp and others soft, with creative composition and approach.

I’m all about the untraditional — or really just those who want something a bit different out of their wedding day than the status quo. Whether that mean a classic backyard wedding or an elopement in the city, an epic party or a quiet dinner, my clients are folks who want to be captured as they are—not who they want to be or might feel they need to be. My approach as a photographer is to be your calm support, your expert and your biggest fan. I’ll encourage you, support you and above all work to make one of the most important days of your life look like art.

Zoe is an empathetic creator that listens. She made us feel relaxed and listened to our wants and needs for our day. She supported us by helping to create a timeline for our wedding, and took the time to check in with us several times throughout the process. Not only are her photos beautiful, but she doesn’t shy away from trying new things. The way she captured emotions from our guests and us on our day made us feel so blessed that we found her as our photographer. We actually cried seeing the photos that came back to us after our wedding. So stunning. Photographers really can make a difference on your wedding day, and Zoe definitely did.
