Stephanie Wooding (Owner / Lead Planner) When it comes to planning your event, it’s really about how that person (or team) embraces and uses that job experience in a resourceful and creative way. I’m a practical, organized, creative, resourceful, and resilient, “jeans and t-shirt” type chick. Well, the San Diego part of me is anyway. The LA in me is a driven, problem-solving, A-type, “take no guff” lady boss, that gets the job done on time, and within a realistic budget.

Over the last 15 years, I’ve been blessed to have worked at nearly every major hotel, venue, and theme park in San Diego. I’ve worked in the film industry as a 1st, 2nd AD, grip, and PA; the hotel industry as an Assistant Director of Audio Visual Services and as a Catering Sales Manager; the live event and theatre industry as a lighting tech/stagehand/stage manager and the special event industry as a wedding and event planner. I’m a firm believer in building a team that you jive well together. Even though our paths may only cross for a moment, let’s make this OUR moment in time and make the event one that you can call your #BestDayEver!

We were thrilled to have decided to choose Stephanie at Best Day Ever Weddings Events as our wedding coordinator for our San Diego wedding last month. With the help of Ashley, our on-site coordinator, the ceremony and reception at Tom Ham's Lighthouse were absolutely flawless. Stephanie seamlessly organized the master timeline in the week leading up to our wedding, complete with all the details, which we were able to distribute to our wedding party and close family. We had several meetings with Stephanie in the weeks leading up to our wedding and discussed all the details with much-needed feedback. We attribute the execution of all the small details to Stephanie and Ashley, with signage and additional floral setup. Ashley, boots on the ground, eased every worry and stress we had leading up to the ceremony and reception. I cannot express my gratitude enough! Many thanks to Ashley for her sweet demeanor and smiles throughout the entire evening. As a bride, it could not have been a more perfect event! This review is overdue, and I highly recommend Stephanie and her team to any couple looking to have their "best day ever" because we certainly did!

Stephanie has been so great to work with! I work with a lot of coordinators (I've shot around 1000 weddings), and they are not always super friendly and accommodating with the other vendors, but she has been great at the weddings I’ve worked with her at. On the wedding day she arrives early and is always on top of everything all day long, tirelessly. I always arrive about 2 hours prior to my start time on the wedding day to scout the location for photography angles, lighting and so forth, and eat lunch, and Stephanie is always there super early as well. There are a lot of moving parts during a wedding, and they all need to stay on track or everything can get derailed, and she is always on top of it all. Of course prior to the wedding day she collaborates with me on the timeline and in general to make sure I have what I need on the day so that my photography will go smoothly and the couple would get what they want out of the photography. I would highly recommend hiring Stephanie and her team!!

From the moment we logged on for our initial consultation call, I knew BEST DAY EVER was going to be the ones helping us plan our wedding! She asked us the most thoughtful questions to help us understand what we had to do and also made us feel so seen and cared for! Stephanie initially was busy with another wedding our day, Jenn was our wedding planner! decided immediately after our call that she would be the first member we hired to be a part of our vendor team - Stephanie ended up being available our day as well and we were so excited to have them both with us on our day!! Jenn was the best and we seriously had the best day ever!! We keep getting calls from everyone how this is the most beautiful wedding ever and we truly felt it too!! Best. Decision. Ever!!

I recently worked with Stephanie at the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Diego, CA to throw an amazing wedding for our couple. I love working with Stephanie as she’s friendly, helpful, and she’s funny which helps when the stresses of the wedding day catch-up with me as a DJ. DJing and MCing weddings often puts me front and center so it can be a lot of pressure and Stephanie helps alleviate that stress by providing professional wisdom and experience. Make no mistake, Stephanie is running the show but from the behind the scenes and she’s leading the vendors to pull off a successful event. Stephanie knows how to take initiative but also knows when to trust others and let them do their thing and I really enjoy that about working with her thanks Stephanie! I’ll be excited to work with you again soon!!
