My career in weddings began back in college, when I sold bridal gowns at a Boston boutique. While I absolutely loved helping brides find the perfect dress, I knew I wanted to be more involved in the entire process. And thus, my life as a wedding planner began. I haven't looked back since. Deering Events a full-service Wedding Planning company with offices in Cape Cod, Boston, and North Carolina. Weddings are my passion, and I have so much fun doing this job.

Over the past 15 years, I have helped plan and execute over 300 weddings, from the beautiful mountains of North Carolina to the breathtaking seaside views of Southern California. Our team loves to craft events of all sizes from intimate elopements, to large scale tented affairs. Above all, we focus on planning and designing fun, creative, and unique weddings that are completely stress-free for you and your family.     Jyl is the absolute best! From our first call, she made me feel heard, at ease and totally supported. She fielded every question I had throughout our year working together incredibly quickly and always with a smile. Working with Jyl was one of the best decisions I ever made! She worked tirelessly on our entire wedding weekend and it went off without a hitch (even in the rain). Jyl was instrumental in our day going so well, and she and her team executed our vision so perfectly. She is meticulous, organized, calm and amazingly kind.     Working with Jyl was one of the best decisions we made when planning our Cape Cod wedding!     If I could go back and change one thing about my wedding, it would be hiring Jyl for the full planning services instead of day of/month of. Jyl was an absolute life saver. The second she started getting more involved about 1 month out from our wedding, my stress levels dropped significantly. She knew all of our vendors personally, had planned and executed multiple weddings at our venue, and just operated with an air of confidence and ease that every bride needs in their life. The day of our wedding, Jyl took complete control of the reins, and I just got to enjoy the day. She navigated the uncertain weather, my semi-dysfunctional family, assembling our DIY centerpieces and hundreds of other details that I am not even aware of to ensure the day was perfect. She even drove off-cape to pick up and drop off our rentals, which saved us hundreds of dollars. I could not be more grateful for Jyl - do yourself a favor and pick Deering Events for your wedding!

    Working with Jyl is going to save you time (your most precious resource) which allows you to enjoy these last months as an engaged couple instead being buried. She is efficient, organized, friendly, funny, and talented. All the things you want and need in a planner. Honestly, though, that's the just the beginning of what Jyl does. She helps to create a sane space for you in some of your most stressful times. And she does it in a way that's gentle and natural. As a vendor, working with Deering Events is always a pleasure. Because not only does she make sure you and your guest are happy. She makes sure all the vendors are happy. Jyl is able to unify all your vendors and create an atmosphere of bustling harmony on a day that (for us) is high-stakes and very stressful. Jyl helps create the space we need to get our jobs done well. As a person, she's down-to-earth, loves animals, and is always up for a beer and a good laugh. We can't recommend her enough.
