Keith Willard is the owner of Keith Willard Events, a South Florida wedding and event planning company. He is also host of the weekly live podcast, Behind The Veil. His expertise has created everything from intimate dinners with a private chef to parties with thousands of participants for a gala at Madame Tussauds in London. Keith was the Director of Catering for Ritz Carlton Bal Harbour and One Bal Harbour. He was the senior catering manager for Hyatt Pier 66; as well as a lead designer for Feature Presentations in Dallas, Texas. Those experiences help him negotiate with hotels and private venues, to ensure a smooth experience for all sides.

I have spent my life creating events. I started as the Executive Director of a small non profit, so knowing how to stretch a dollar was everything. I've also worked my way up through hotel managment, starting as a social catering manager for Hyatt Regency and ending my hotel era as Director of Catering for Ritz-Carlton. I know this industry inside and out. Budgets are important and knowing what to spend money on and what not to are key in planning a succesful event.

Many of my clients are from out of town or out of state. This is a Partial Planning Package with the idea you have a venue, Full Planning Package is required when those instances that you also need help finding a venue.

From finding the perfect venue, through all the ins and outs of planning, invitations, menu planning, timelines, floorplans, wedding rehearsal…. And on and on … If it has anything to do with the wedding, then I am involved. Being a former Director of Catering for Ritz-Carlton and Hyatt hotels, I can give you insights into what you truly need and help ensure you are not spending money on things that aren’t truly needed.

Couples that already have their venue and a few of their wedding details typically need a partial planner. This package gives you all of the benefits of a full planner. I will be there to help negotiate your room blocks, and all other major wedding hallmarks.

Day Of Plus - Couples that have been planning for months and have all of their major vendors contracted, their invitations are sent, room blocks are in place, but still need help with the finer details. I handle the rehearsal and am with you the full wedding day. My team will make sure everyone knows where to be at what time, make sure everyone eats, and put out any last-minute fires so that you can be totally focused on being in the moment.

    Keith and his team are absolutely fantastic! They are super organized and literally prepare for EVERYTHING. He has a backup plan for every snag that could come your way. He is also very kind and fun, making everyone's day stress free. All the other vendors love him because he is great to work with, never seems stressed out and has a positive attitude while getting everything ready. His methods are seamless, organization top notch. You never have to ask him for anything, everything is always taken care of. Like Magic! You will not regret hiring him.

    It's been a couple months since our wedding and I'm still living in the clouds. When we were doing our research on possible wedding planners, we knew we wanted someone that would understand us as gay men--in fact we wanted to support someone from the LGBTQ community because we wanted to make sure that they had expert knowledge with respect to LGBTQ friendly vendors. Keith's name came up and when we met with him, we immediately knew that he was the person we wanted to hire, and we have no regrets of doing so. We originally had a location in mind and were working on securing that on our own, but when things didn't go as planned, Keith stepped in and helped us find a great location. One of our fears with planning a wedding in Florida and living in Charlotte was that we'd have a hard time making sure that all our dreams came to fruition. Keith seriously made sure that everything was taken care of. He was constantly available to chat, especially in times when we started stressing, he looked for the best deals but kept in mind the vibe we wanted to give at the wedding. He always had suggestion on vendors and had great relationships with them. I can not emphasis enough how thoughtful and caring Keith is!! One thing that I really loved about Keith was the fact that he allowed us to visualize everything we wanted and then made sure it actually happened. He took the stress out of planning...well there was still stress but that's because it's a wedding but he made sure to listen and ease the stress. On wedding day...he took charge. He was there and made sure that all the stress was on him and not on us nor our guests. He handled everything perfectly. Only thing I wish we had done differently, was getting a picture with him on our wedding day! Post wedding, we had some issues with the Ritz Carlton Bal Harbour not delivering the level of service that they're known for and also over charging us on our bill (their computer system was doing the math wrong, and it was Keith who figured that out), and Keith was there to help with the conversations and advocate on our behalf...even when his job as our wedding planner was over!! He is truly one of the best professionals out there and HIGHLY recommend him. If you're ever looking for a planner for any event make sure to reach out to him. You won't be let down!! Additionally, one thing that's also helpful is that he has an award winning show on Youtube with many of the topics that come up when wedding planning, so if you're ever wondering about something you can go listen to him and his guest speakers talk about these topics!! LOVE THIS MAN AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!
