RD Events & Design is an event planning and design service that serves the Upstate New York area, located on the shores of Lake Ontario in Oswego, New York. With experience planning all types of events, from a wedding at an airport to fundraisers involving only chicken wings, and of all different sizes, from 50 guests to 500 guests, we are confident that we can provide you with the professionalism, flexibility, and creativity that you need for your event!

We understand that there are no do-overs when it comes to getting it right and will make it our goal to exceed your expectations at every turn so that hiring us turns out to be the best decision you make in planning your event.

For the couple who wants to host their wedding out of state and needs full guidance - from location scouting, vendor research, guest accommodations all the way to weekend of timeline execution, we are here every step of the way!

From concept creation to clean up. We can ensure that all the pieces fit together and flow nicely and ensure that you do not miss a thing along the way!

If what you’re looking for is design guidance, execution the day of the wedding, plus advice & assistance through the planning process this service is for you.

Sometimes referred to as “day of coordination” or “month of coordination”, this is ideal for a couple who has secured most of their vendors and wishes to hire a professional to come in and tie up loose ends and handle the logistics and vendor communication in the final months leading up to the wedding!

    Rachael and I clicked from the second we got on the phone. I knew right away she was going to help make this a stress-free process, and that she did. We worked with Rachael for our October 2023 wedding at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York. I couldn't have been more appreciative for her opinions, advise, and organization. Rachael helped me to create my vision for our wedding and executed it flawlessly. She was easy to communicate with and I felt like I could be honest and myself. Rachael had total control over all the vendors we utilized (even the last-minute additions) while also being there for me 24/7. Throughout the wedding planning process, she was the best friend I never knew I needed. Rachael is professional, calm, but also makes you feel like family. She is so passionate about what she does and you can tell from the minute you meet her. Our guests were also obsessed with her - She's an amazing people-person and someone you want by your side. My only regret was not finding her sooner. Rachael is your go-to wedding planner and coordinator. If you choose to work with Rachael & her team (which you should) your wedding day will be flawless, special, and the most amazing day of your life.

    Rachael is the sweetest, kindest, most detail oriented and professional wedding planner! Her experience really shows every step of the way. My husband and I hired her a month after we got engaged. We met several wedding planners who seemed fine, and immediately after meeting Rachael, we sat in the car and didn’t even have to ask for each others thoughts - she was OBVIOUSLY our wedding planner. Not only did she know the answer to every random crazy question I had throughout 2 years, she also took so much off of my plate throughout wedding planning that allowed me to breathe knowing I had a professional helping me through the entire process. Wedding planning can be extremely stressful and I truly cannot imagine not having Rachael to guide us through it all. Rachael is beyond reliable, an expert in the industry, and makes you feel like you are her only client and best friend. If you are looking for a seamless wedding planning process, there is no better option than Rachael!

    Rachael is so awesome to work with, she is so organized and pays attention to EVERY detail. I can tell her couples are always so happy with her work and as a vendor, especially a photographer, she makes my job 10x easier by keeping me in the loop, updating me, and making sure everyone around me knows what they need to be doing and where for the best photos. She is so fun to work with and I would recommend her to anyone.
