Built in 1898 as Katz Underwear Factory, this historic brick building has undergone restoration and renovation to now celebrate its original beauty; large windows overlooking the Lackawaxen River, original brick walls, cathedral ceilings and grand chandeliers. The riverside and forest view is made even better as the building itself is only a block away from Main Street Honesdale PA. New lodging, restaurants, breweries, bakeries, coffee shops and retail shops are only blocks away. A downtown venue with a beautiful, natural feel from out the windows. What could be better?

We Do

Walking into 6th & River, the first thing you will feel is a sense of timelessness. Old buildings never get old. The eighteen large windows from one end of the room to the other overlooking the Lackawaxen River allow the room to fill with a magical, natural light, especially in the evening. The cathedral style ceiling with open beams gives the room a feeling of grandness, while the exposed brick walls give it a sense of warmth and coziness. Our versatile space can accommodate up to 240 and and features a bridal suite - a lounge/mezzanine that overlooks the grand reception space. Comfortable restrooms, staff for assistance, a separate catering/prep area, tables and chairs and a beautiful bridal bouquet from Fox Hill Farm. The adjoining room allows for much more seating or a separate space for cocktail hour/lounge/ceremony. Also possible, is the rental of a neighboring space for even more possibilities!

    I loved the venue! Kevin and I booked them over a year in advance, Laura was very helpful with answering emails and calling when necessary. We choose to have our ceremony at Fox Hill Farm which was gorgeous! We have been compliments on the space from our other vendors and guest.
