Welcome to the only state embassy in the country! Florida House is an extraordinary and historic setting for conducting business, entertaining, or hosting a special event on Capitol Hill. Located in Washington, District of Columbia, Florida House on Capitol Hill is a historic wedding destination. This Victorian-style venue was first built in 1891 by Edwin C. Manning. It was only later, in the late 1900s, that it took on a new life as Florida House on Capitol Hill thanks to the dedicated refurbishment spearheaded by Rhea Chiles, wife of public official Lawton Chiles.
