About this venue

We are a Smithsonian Affiliated Museum in downtown McKinney. Built in1900 and established in 1970. We have 54 years of service! We have the Art-O-Mat which is a vintage machine repurposed for collectible art hence the Art-O-Mat! People travel all over the world and to McKinney to add to their art collections! The Heard Craig Art Center & Museum has private parking in downtown McKinney with a private garden, gazebo, and Carriage House. The private garden & Carriage House venue space is available to rent and our main house Museum offers group tours, luncheons, bridal tea, baby showers, and more! When you book your tour or event with us you are supporting art, history, preservation, the community, and Kathryn Heard-Craigs legacy.

A Wedding with History in our Historical Gazebo from the year 1900 and Historical Garden!

The Garden accommodates up to 150 guests. The garden is graced with a large white Gazebo (for the ceremony) and two white wedding arches through which you can make a grand entrance. Approx.     They were able to offer everything we needed! It was relaxing, and lovely. They were incredibly reasonable, and most of the options were a la carte, so we were able to keep our costs lower by picking and choosing only what we needed.
