About this venue
Initially, the 62-acre Het Landhuis Estate was part of a 1,000-acre farm owned by the Henderson family who operated a tanyard in the area, making saddles and other leather items. One day a future bride drove past Het Landhuis; she stopped in the main driveway and asked if she could get married there. That conversation changed the course of the estate, and Het Landhuis had its Grand Opening in 2010. Het Landhuis is not your ordinary location for a wedding; this becomes obvious once you visit the grounds and look at the eight different venues the estate offers. Het Landhuis presents you with a magical setting for your storybook wedding!

We are a 52-acre estate Some places are wheelchair accessible and some are not. We do have hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.
Yes, we have onsite parking and provide golfcart service for those who need it.
Yes, we do not charge a corkage fee, but you must have a bartender.

You have the entire estate from 10 am on your wedding day till 12 midnight. We also allow access to the estate the day before after 2:30 pm and pick up leftover wedding items the day after. There is also the opportunity to rent the guesthouses for overnight stays. We want our couples to relax and enjoy their wedding day instead of rushing due to time limits and feeling pressure to get in and out.
All payments made, including deposits, are non-refundable. However, if you need to move your wedding date for any reason, we are happy to work with you.
Het Landhuis is 40 minutes from RDU airport via Hwy 540. Rental car, uber or private transportation is available at the airport.
We do recommend that all of our couples get event insurance. It is a small price to pay to make sure the couple is covered in case of some unforeseen event takes place. We suggest www.wedsafe.com. Their website provides initial quotes with a few simple questions without asking for emails, phone numbers, etc.
