About this venue

Lakeside Occasions is a family-owned wedding barn in the heart of northern Indiana's Amish country. Our historic dairy barn was built in the late 1880's and has been in the family ever since! We call it "The Guernsey" in reference to the type of cows that were milked there. The barn is nestled between picturesque farmland on a peaceful lake in a small village known as Emma.

The Guernsey Barn

Dine and dance the night away in our beautifully restored 1880s dairy barn

The main floor of The Guernsey Barn features a stage for ceremonies or wedding party seating and a side room with a built-in bar and space for your buffet & desserts. The balcony overlooks our dance floor complete with a stunning bronze chandelier. An enclosed deck is the perfect spot for your guest book, gift table, or a photo booth. Downstairs, the old milk house is now a caterer's prep kitchen with a commercial refrigerator & sink. The silo has been transformed into a perfect bridal suite.

Romantic string lighting throughout, rustic sconces and chandeliers, lighted wreath with greenery, 2 faux fireplaces, unique changing spaces including silo & a 50s-style diner, restrooms, on-site parking plus attendants, rustic furniture & decor accents, round/rectangle tables and white, wooden padded chairs, heating and A/C, built-in bar plus outdoor grain bin bar, and beautiful lakeside grounds with gazebo and a pergola covered patio with a gas fireplace. Endless photo opportunities!

$4000 for 14 hours, plus $100/extra hour
