Romantic ruins have been revived. Rich in Cincinnati history and tradition, this beautiful building originally housed the Cincinnati Observatory; thereafter the Holy Cross Monastery. The Monastery opened in May 2016 as a premiere venue for special events and weddings. Our memorable building, exquisite courtyard, and beautifully landscaped grounds offer the perfect location for your event. The historic building's elegance and old world charm provide an idyllic setting for the celebration of a lifetime. The historic property's rejuvenation was guided by careful reverence for this iconic building which is over 125 years old. The neighborhood, Mount Adams, often described as an urban island, is a treasure chest of history. The Monastery rests atop that treasure as a royal jewel. The Monastery Ballroom

An enchantingly beautiful, historic ballroom nestled in Mount Adams, Ohio.

With 55' ceilings and a completely open floor plan, our ballroom is the perfect space to host the event of a lifetime. Your guests will adore the rich history of The Monastery. We are proud to offer the highest quality culinary experience to our guests. Our staff will provide you with a memorable, elegant dining experience. Two bars are built into our venue, utilizing the existing architecture to ensure the ultimate service experience.

We provide the following items: high and low cocktail tables, various round and long table sizes, chiavari chairs, china, glass, plate chargers, linens, flatware, napkins, table numbers, personalized menu cards, and the city's largest dance floor at 500 square feet. We also have wooden vineyard tables for that old world feel. Our lighting offers you the ability to change moods for the room based on your vision.
