About this venue
In 2000, Steven Nissen planted the first vines of what now has become a thirteen acre vineyard. The dream of Prairie Moon is to grow high quality grapes to create fine estate wines in the Midwest. With the unique growing season and agricultural environment, we believe our products reflect the ideal native Iowan wine. Among the acreage, there are many grape varieties. The luscious rows host hybrid and native American grapes that provide beautiful tastes to the palate. Prairie Moon encourages everyone to support Iowa wineries, alongside all local businesses!

ALL alcoholic beverages are served by a Prairie Moon bartender, who is staffed. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SERVE PRAIRIE MOON WINE AT YOUR WEDDING. There are a few options for beer, seltzers & hard liquor. (1) Purchase a Prairie Moon Winery hard liquor package. 3 tiers. Includes hard liquor, mixers, cups, & cocktail napkins. Speciality drinks can be requested. (2) You are able to purchase yourself and bring in beer (canned or keg), seltzers and soda. (3) Bringing in any HARD liquor will conclude a flat fee of $200. ***Any beverages purchased & brought by you or the party will be served complimentary to your guests.
Yes, we have lots of on-site parking, free of charge. We do not offer valet or shuttle services of any type.
We accept cash, credit card, check & online payments via as forms of payment. The deposit (50%) is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the event.
