About this venue

Spring Lake is a picturesque site situated at the headwaters of the San Marcos River, and there are several options for your special day. We have spaces available at the Headwaters Green, the Meadow, or on our Rooftop overlooking Spring Lake's crystal waters. As a special treat to your guests, you can even reserve our historic Glass Bottom Boats! Spring Lake is an OUTDOOR venue with no cover. Clients are welcome to rent tents to accommodate their guests. There is one small conference room available, but seating and availability is very limited. Please keep this in mind when planning your date and time. Spring Lake can be the perfect site for weddings, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, bridal showers, photo shoots, and more. Headwater's Green

This area is a large open lawn overlooking Spring Lake, the Headwaters of the San Marcos River. It is capable of accommodating a very large number of people depending on the amount of furniture you rent. A view of Texas State’s Old Main building is a prominent feature.

Conference Room

Clients are welcome to rent tents to accommodate their guests. There is one small conference room available, but seating and availability is very limited. Please keep this in mind when planning your date and time.

enter must coordinate with conference room management regarding all needs pertaining to set-up including additional furniture, A/V equipment, food delivery, etc. Renter will be responsible for their own set-up and clean-up of the room. Additional charges will apply if additional furniture or equipment is needed. The conference room is furnished with seven rectangular tables (63" x 31 1/2" each) and 31 rolling chairs. The conference room is also equipped with a drop down screen and overhead projector which is connected to a laptop computer that may be used for presentations. Maximum occupancy is 85 people, however this would allow for lecture style seating only, no tables.

Included in this room:

Security is required for events at which alcohol is served unless the Dean of Students waives the requirement. *Rental of the Conference Room includes only the room use, furniture included with the room and AV equipment. Nothing else will be provided unless coordinated at the time of booking. The renting organization reserving the SLH Conference Room is required to clean-up and reset furniture to original layout at the completion of event. We are an environmentally conscience Center, therefore we request that all aluminum, plastic, and glass are placed in the designated receptacle. Also, all cardboard boxes should be broken down and placed next to the trash receptacle for recycling. If room is left in disarray and furniture is not reset to original layout, a charge of $50 will be applied immediately!
