About this venue

With 14,000 square feet of lawns alone, the facility is a haven for outdoor events, especially weddings. The bridal procession makes a striking entrance through a wisteria-covered arbor, and continues across the lawn to a gazebo overlooking the river. Set at the foot of an oak, it’s a dreamy sun-dappled spot, not only for the ceremony, but for displaying the wedding cake, too. or opt for an intimate exchange of vows in front of a grove of towering redwood trees. If you’re hosting a formal garden wedding, white umbrella-shaded tables laid with white linens add the right touch of elegance. Or, if you’re like the couple who opted for a country and western theme, square tables with checked tablecloths fit in perfectly with the woodsy setting. A few bales of hay placed here and there were all that was needed to turn River House into a mountain ranch.

The Barn at River House

River House is a blend of rustic hideaway and country estate.

One of the most beautiful aspects of the property is the wisteria-covered arbor that leads the bridal party to the wooden gazebo overlooking the San Lorenzo River. 10,000 square feet of lawn easily accommodates up to 250 guests for dining and a large aggregate patio serves as the cocktail area. A Redwood grove is available for the ceremony or a small cocktail hour. Flower-lined paths encircle the property. Catering station and bridal cottage included. A 3500 square foot barn has just been completed and is an absolutely stunning addition to the property . The Rustic/Industrial barn is furnished with custom lighting and windmill fans. A 600-square-foot lounge on the second floor allows for relaxing and viewing of the dance floor. A wrap-around cat walk circles the second story. Rental includes: Use of the grounds and redwood cathedral, use of the bridal cottage, 3 bathrooms and a pool room inside the main house for the groomsmen to hang out. A 3500-square-foot barn is available for dinner and dancing. A catering kitchen, granite-topped wine barrel bar, and two wine barrel tables are also included. Plenty of parking, an aggregate patio for cocktail time, and a gazebo overlooking the San Lorenzo River.
