About this venue

Welcome to The Preserve at Chocorua; a picturesque White Mountain estate tucked away in the historic town of Tamworth, New Hampshire. The Preserve is a unique property that lends itself to taking it easy, letting time slowly drift by as you reflect on the nostalgia of days gone by. The Preserve was among the earliest farms to open its doors and was known as "Hayford's in the Fields" in the 1890's. It is our intent to extend a warm welcome to all those who choose to host their event with us. The Barn

Lovingly modeled after the original barn that once graced the property - our new facility sits on the original footprint of the Hayford Barn. Old meets new in our classic English style barn. With over 4,000 square feet of event space, we can accommodate 225 for a seated dinner, 250+ for buffet, and cocktail style receptions. With its vaulted ceiling and timber-peg construction, The Preserve barn beautifully accommodates events of any style. Echoing New Hampshire’s rich colonial heritage, our barn-inspired aesthetic (rooftop cupolas and hardwood floors) captures the authenticity of a time past, yet is accessorized with modern light fixtures and updated functional spaces. Our all-season barn is fully temperature-controlled and is suited for year-round events.
