About this venue

The Finch House is one of North Carolina's most accommodating wedding venues. We are located in Thomasville just a few minutes from I-85, within 30 minutes from both downtown Greensboro and Winston Salem. The mansion is over 7,000 square feet and sits on one and a half acres. We offer both indoor and outdoor wedding and reception options. Tables, chairs and linens are included in our packages. With overnight accommodations for up to 25 guests, we are the perfect destination for your guests. A bridal suite and groom's suite give you the ability to get ready on-site. if you are looking for an elegant and glamorous backdrop for your big day, we may be the perfect fit for you.

The Library

The library is crafted of carved Rosewood, which was legal to harvest at the time the house was built, but is now listed on the Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora and protected worldwide. Ornate Dentil Moldings crown the walls, and the shell designs above the bookcases are mimicked on the exterior of the house above the Library doors. This unique space comfortably seats 60 for an indoor wedding. and the beautifully carved mantle serves as a great backdrop for the bride and groom.

    As a covid bride I had endured my fair share of postponing, rebooking, waiting, hoping, and almost throwing in the towel and giving up celebrating our big day the way we had envisioned. From start to finish Andrew was attentive to every need, and timely in each response to any questions we had. Our planning process with The Finch House was so refreshing. We felt cared for and important. If you're the type of bride that values communication and relationally oriented people book this venue. You will not be disappointed! The beauty of the venue speaks for itself, while the staff and management go above and beyond in customer care and execution.

    As an experienced DJ, I've had the opportunity to DJ in countless venues throughout North Carolina. Without a doubt The Finch House ranks among the best! It's beautiful, historic, full of charm and is perfect for any event, large or small.     I have been blessed to work with the T Austin Finch House on many occasions since they opened and I chose to sign on as a preferred vendor simply because of the care and respect I received, as well as so many of my clients coming back and telling me what a positive experience they had when they got married at the Finch House. Their events are beautiful and seamless and I’m always hearing from couples how wonderful and easy the all inclusive packages are.
