WithinSodo is a beautifully-renovated warehouse in the SoDo district of Seattle with 5 event spaces: the Parlor, the Gallery, the Lounge, the Ballroom & the Rooftop Deck. These 5 spaces when combined include an incredible partially-covered rooftop deck with a spectacular view of downtown, a full commercial / catering kitchen, an A/V System with HD projector, 16-foot screen, 3+ full bar areas, 5 restrooms, a VIP / green room / bridal suite, Wi-Fi, & ample free parking.

I am a wedding planner based in Seattle and WithinSodo is by far one of my favorite versatile venue spaces. They have built their business around their creative customers and clients. You can combine a number of their rooms and spaces for a unique event experience all your own. Their on site bar and catering kitchen make the logistics of hosting a catered event effortless. I love the combination of industrial, open spaces and rooftop views for a quintessential Seattle experience. WithinSodo is one of my top venue recommendations to couples and I always look forward to creating and hosting events here!

We held our wedding at WithinSodo in September 2020. Prior to the pandemic, we had toured the place and fell in love. It was a perfect mix of industrial and romance, and I loved how we could choose what rooms we wanted to rent. The price was also excellent especially compared to other seattle venues. When the pandemic hit, Kate was so accommodating and kept up to date w the state’s guidelines. She worked with us to figure out a plan that we’d be happy with. We ended up just having a small ceremony and received a partial refund back. Even though the ceremony was only a couple hours long, it was perfect. We are so excited to come back and hold a reception once things are safe. Contract was clear, the billing system was great, and Kate was awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Our total allowed capacity is 625 – 450 downstairs and 175 upstairs.

The Ballroom & Lounge are joined by 2 large sliding barn doors. The wall between the barn doors is permanent; they cannot be "joined" as one large space without a separating wall.

Yes, but all food must be prepared by an establishment with a catering license and/or a restaurant license. All caterers must have a catering license and be insured. All food handlers/servers must have their Food Handler’s Permit. All licenses & permits must be presented the night of the event.

We have light seating on the Rooftop Deck and the Parlor. Tables & chairs are rented separately by the vendor of your choice.

Due to the volume of requests, we give site tours by appointment only.

We wish we could do this but it just doesn’t work for our schedule to run smoothly. Once you’ve seen the space and had all your questions answered, we’ll receive a signed contract and a deposit and then the date is yours!

We have companies we like to work with however we don’t have any partnership restrictions on who you can bring in to help with your event.

Apart from any permits that your event requires, we have a standard contract/agreement. We also require every event to have a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming WithinSodo as “Additional Insured.”

Please know that we can’t wait to make your event a reality!

Our full ground level is ADA accessible, though the Rooftop Deck can only be accessed via stairs.

Yes, we have 7 spaces at our Utah St doors, though street parking is free and usually plentiful.

While we exclusively provide alcohol and all bar services, if you've been saving a special bottle for your celebration, we're happy to chat! There no restrictions on any other vendors as long as they are properly licensed and insured.
