I'm Jake, and I'm a wedding + engagement photographer based in Appleton, Wisconsin. What started out as a hobby has now turned into my career and full time job, although I'm hesitant to even use the word "job," as it truly has never felt like work to me. The time that I get to spend with couples who have just dedicated their lives to one another is something that I feel truly blessed to experience. While I’m located in Appleton, WI, I do love to travel and explore new places. I picked up my first camera in 2019 and started second shooting weddings in 2020. I've been married to the love of my life since Feb. 2019 and we have a daughter together and we just had our baby boy in Nov. 2023. We enjoy fishing, hiking and reading as a family.

Hi, I've been taking wedding photos for 10+ years. I've been a photographer for 14+ years. I work full time in the e-commerce product photography industry and on weekends photograph weddings. I love photographing weddings getting to be a part of someone's special day and having the honor of capturing those special moments. There is nothing more beautiful than the love of a couple and family celebrating. Photography has always been a love of mine. Preserving history and creating beautiful images for years to enjoy. On the side I do offer archiving and restoration. Digitizing film and prints as well as repairing damaged images.

My passion for photography and weddings began when I was very young. I staged Barbie weddings, making their dresses from Kleenex, then snuck Mom’s camera to take pictures of them. I moved on to dressing up my little sister in a pillowcase veil, again sneaking Mom’s camera. When she got tired of me using up all her film, she brought home several Bride magazines from the free pile at the library and I spent hours reading them, then pinning pages of beautiful wedding dresses on the ceiling of my bedroom. When “The Wedding Planner” came out in 2001, my fate was sealed

I grew up in a very small town called Colesburg, Iowa. I currently live in Dubuque again, but this time I live with my own family! My husband and I have quite the full house! A know-it-all 15 year old, a laid-back but sassy 9 year old, and a 3 year old who one day thinks he's a dinosaur and the next a Ninja Turtle. Oh, and not to mention we also have three cats, a Siamese (Owen) and a black cat (Daisy), and a Tabby cat (Astro), and two dogs, a Golden Retriever (Roman) and a beagle (Bayley).
