I was introduced to the world of photography the same week I was introduced to the world! All thanks to my Dad, who was never without his camcorder or camera. Because of him, our memories growing up are preserved. Then I got my first camera. I documented everything. So I can go back & revisit so many wonderful memories from my life...most of which I wouldn't remember without pictures!

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

I attempt to portray an artistic feel that reveals feelings of emotion onto the viewer. Be it a gaze, a beaming smile, tears of joy or a blurred image to depict movement my goal is communication. It is these moments along with many others I feel should be captured.

Hi! I'm Meghan. I've had a love for photography since my parents bought me my first camera for Christmas in 2001. I took pictures of anyone and anything that sat still for more than .03 seconds. The more pictures I took, the more I loved it. It became a passion of mine, but it wasn't until later that I had the dream of starting my own business. In the meantime, I teach middle school - 7th grade Language Arts to be exact. Yes, it's exactly as crazy as you're imagining, likely even more so. Teaching has taught me two things: patience and how to laugh at myself.

I'm Alex. I spend my free time with my husband and our dogs Conor & Belle. I'm lucky to live in the Hudson Valley surrounded by amazing nature and upstate lifestyle. I found my passion for art while growing up surrounded by horses in a small town in Brazil. The shapes, textures, and colors of the horses always have been inspiring to me. I’ve always wanted to recreate them, but was never really able to. Honestly, my painting/drawing skills were and still are terrible, and that’s when photography came up in my life. I would create imaginary cameras out of my toys and would ‘photograph’ the horses and my neighbors. Photographing people became my passion and then evolved into my work in editorial and wedding photography.

I started in photography much as everyone else did. What was once a hobby in 2002 quickly became a passion. I started out with a 35mm film set up and would hang out in the city capturing candid moments of people going about their day to day lives. For me, it was like stepping outside the world around me and documenting it like looking through a window into a world I was no longer part of. In 2008, when I myself got married, I realized that a wedding day is one of the most emotional moments for a couple. Not only for them but for the families involved as well! It was Oct. 31st, 2008 when I shot my first wedding. I haven't looked back since.

My passion for photography started at a very young age. Polaroid,Kodak, disposable cameras anything I could get my hands on for as long as I can remember. After working for several years in photojournalism and editing I decided to make the switch to a full time wedding photographer in 2010. I haven’t looked back since. I love the rush and excitement of the wedding day. The ability to meet new people and travel new places. Every weekend I get to experience different families, friends, foods and cultures.
