Most events I do start with some common elements: guests, music and the client’s desire for the event to be successful. It’s the inspiration in the execution and preparation before the event that distinguishes me from the ordinary. While others may do events by number, I make each event an original, a unique reflection of my client…you! I take inspiration from your dreams and desires. I do not ask you to follow someone else’s format because I will thrive in yours.

OPOV Band is a well established band in business since 2014. We are currently an 10 piece band and 1 sound engineer. Our instruments are Drums, Bass, Keys, Guitar, Trumpet, Trombone, and Saxophone. We currently have 1 male vocalist and 2 female vocals. We do have the ability to add instruments and vocals upon client request. All of our musicians are experienced, professional, and seasoned. We enjoy playing good music covering various genres such as Motown, R&B, Soul, Pop, Classic Rock, and Rock 'n' Roll. The Chicken Slacks are "Boston's Hardest Working Classic Soul, Funk, and R&B Band"! We consist of 7-members and when we play weddings or other events we include a sound engineer with some stage lighting. We also provide other services for an extra fee. We held down a 15-year residency at The Word Famous Cantab Lounge in Central Square, Cambridge, MA before the 2020 pandemic. Not only am I the band's client relations manager, I also play saxophone and am the band's emcee. These are my ALL-TIME favorite genres to perform and The Chicken Slacks have mastered the art of re-invigorating these special genres.

Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.
