My cake decorating started at Parson’s Bakery where I worked for many years. I worked my way from cashier to donut fryer to cake decorator. For the past couple years I have worked with the Wight House Reception in Bountiful – what a journey!

Growing up I saw my grandmother spark magic with brides and grooms, I saw her make holidays magical with her desserts. She sat there--not partaking of her creations, but rather in the atmosphere she engineered. We began as a concession company providing cotton candy at sporting events. In the fall of 2021, we extended our brand by starting our own manufacturing plant. Sweet Buckets was born as an option for customers and businesses to purchase Cotton Candy and Gourmet popcorns direct from our company.

We are the Richardson's and we started Summer Nights Italian Ice with the goal of sharing our favorite frozen treat with our friends, family, and neighbors while teaching our kids the value of hard work.

Maile Cake Design is a marriage of my passion for the fine arts, baking and botanicals, with a touch of inspiration and flavors from the Hawaiian islands and my homeland, the Philippines.
