My cake journey started about 5 years ago. It started as a way to create, and ended with me falling in love with the cake making and decorating process. I’m Heather and I am a cake artist! I offer custom wedding, birthday and celebration cakes. I have a Baking and Pastry degree from The International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Salt Lake City and 9+ years of cake decorating experience.

Combining baking with minimalism to make timeless and delicious desserts. I believe that less is more to make a big impact. All recipes are made from scratch from quality ingredients. Been baking since 2002 and started baking for others in 2011.

What's in a name? I wanted to opt for something that describes WHAT I make rather than who is making it. I strive for classic, but sophisticated. And details details details! My thoughts turned toward a pearl, it embodies all of those things and best of all, it’s timeless. Pearls when looked at closely have a slight shimmer. A detail at a distance is beautiful and “pearly” as we call it, but up close it’s really a gentle sheen of sparkle that causes that. Also known as luster. But don't forget the modern element I love to design with. That influenced the final spelling and look of the name LUSTR.
