My love of music started in the back seat of my dads car as he took me to daycare, with Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin On" on repeat. My love of music spans generations, cultures and genres, and has taken me all over the world, from England, Spain, St. Marteen, and Austria. As for me, I am a Brooklyn native, who during the pandemic was able leave corporate career to pursue my passion of music. So, about us…White Rose Weddings started in 2008 as a small disc jockey company using my initials G.A.C. for the business name. My older sister would poke fun at the fact that my initials spelled “gac” and our colors are green. She even made a comparison to a kid’s TV show “slime”. But she was right, “My Wedding DJ is from GAC”, didn’t really roll off the tongue. We would always talk about what the new name should be to highlight the level of service we were always looking to provide. The agreement was made on, White Rose Weddings.

Harpist Michelle Campbell has enjoyed performing for weddings and special events for over twenty years. She has studied harp performance at prestigious institutes and holds a Masters of Music Degree. She is the resident harpist for the Langham Hotel and is a regular featured soloist at The Four Seasons as well as other luxury hotels throughout Chicago. Michelle also enjoys performing musical theatre, including a critically acclaimed show at the Goodman Theatre, and collaborating with other creative musicians in Chicago. As a freelance soloist she is in high demand for private events.

I love what I do. I have been singing since age 8 and DJing since 15. I found a way to combine the best parts of music for an amazing wedding experience! People are wowed at the elegance of live music during cocktails as a first impression. Then they are treated to their favorite songs on the dance floor with me as the dj! It’s a perfect balance!

For owner Mike Yazumbek, DJing is fun and games, but it’s also a lifestyle he has lived and breathed for the past 13 years. Mike got his interest in DJing at age 20 and started out playing friends house parties, then eventually building up a reputation and DJing a the biggest nightclubs in the Chicagoland Area. Pretty Soon, a lot of his friends were getting married and Mike was the first person they thought of. After Djing hundreds of clubs, bars, school dances, private parties and weddings under his freelance name "DJ Mike Y" It was time to finally brand a mobile entertainment company - Reception Entertainment !

Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.
