Bloom Lake Barn is a freshly renovated wedding and event venue located in Shafer, Minnesota near the gorgeous St. Croix River. Set in the picturesque St. Croix valley, Bloom Lake Barn provides that "out of the way" country charm a short 40-mile drive from the Twin Cities. The wooden barn is enormous and contains vaulted ceilings and gorgeous chandelier and cafe lighting. Our ol' 10 acre charm farm dates back to before MN was a state in the abstract. It's been in Brady’s family since the summer of '69 and we plan to keep it that way for generations to come. The original family that homesteaded the property came from Czechoslovakia. They built the hand-hewn log cabin on a boulder foundation and owned it for 112 years. Brady grew up in the home since '87 which has transformed over time into the gem that we have today. We kickstarted our journey at GarageTown LLC with our wedding in August, 2021. The park was originally named Douglas Triangle for the street on which it is located. The name was officially changed to Mt. Curve Triangles (plural), on November 4, 1925, when the previous Mt. Curve Triangle was renamed Fremont Triangle. The park was officially named in honor of Thomas Lowry in 1984. Lowry is best known for developing the street railway system in Minneapolis. The Lowry Hill neighborhood, in which the park is located, was named because he owned most of the land and built his imposing mansion on the hill.

The interpretive center has several rooms and spaces available to rent for meetings, wedding receptions, galas, company events, birthday parties, family reunions and more! The multipurpose room can be split into three smaller spaces (Aspen, Oak and Willow), two larger rooms or left as one large room. The interpretive center also has a smaller, separate conference room, an exhibit space and a patio space that are available to rent.
