Trevaughn has perfected the combination of professionalism and personality. He is punctual and responsive, letting his character combine with your vision to capture the moment. Trevaughn will also go above and beyond to work with your constraints or special requests, in my instance he did not hesitate to play a role in my engagement proposal plan. In addition, Trevaughn worked incredibly efficiently processing and editing the photos within 24 hours allowing my fiancé and I share our special moment almost immediately with others. Highly recommend Trevaughn to others and would work with him again!

I believe in capturing candid moments and let the storytelling unfold through my imageries. My goal is to create timeless images that not only capture how the day looked but remind you of how the day felt — the warmth from a long embrace, the anticipation before the ceremony, and the sound of laughter filling the room. You’ll be surrounded by people who feel like home — your wedding photos should feel the same way.

Cesario Mendez Photography

Washington, DC

When I am not behind the camera or editing photos, I enjoy short Uber rides to bottomless brunch on the weekends; right now mimosas and I kinda have a thing going on! I have a special relationship with bourbon and FIRMLY believe in putting food on the grill during late afternoons should be the norm. I am blessed to be married to the happiest person on earth (I am so serious), who just happens to double as my favorite person. She keeps me grounded and never fails to remind me how great she is.

Cesar was easily our favorite wedding vendor. He is just as fun as his website is. We are based in NY and originally from DC so our wedding was in DC. We picked our package assuming we wouldn't have an engagement session because of our different locations (honestly thought they were kind of cheesy - why are we suddenly models just because we got engaged?). Cesar told us he has family in Brooklyn and suggested we schedule a time where he could MEET US in the city for our engagement session! He came up and met us on a Wednesday at the crack of dawn (at my request) to get sunrise shots on the Brooklyn bridge and in nearby DUMBO. We are not super comfortable getting our picture taken so this was perfect to get comfortable with Cesar - he made it easy with his personality and laid back attitude. This ended up being great for the day of because we already knew him and were comfortable. His tricks and direction for us to act out for the shots really broke the ice and made them more natural and fun. At the end of our session we were shocked at how much fun we had. The pictures were so epic, I couldn't believe it was us. Now I get all the hype about engagement pics and am so thankful we have them. We even used one of the shots for a framed picture for our guests to sign at our cocktail hour. Leading up to the wedding, I had a meeting with Cesar to get our shot list in order and he guided me through everything. He even agreed last minute to our locations on the day of (all of that was on us for doing things last minute) - NOVA and DC venue/church, all while battling Saturday DC traffic. He even took myself, the groom, and best man in his Uber from the church to the venue! My wedding coordinator was trying to run the show for the shots with no knowledge of the shot list, so I asked Cesar to take lead and he did. My husband was getting cranky about all the pictures and Cesar was fun but firm with his direction. Exactly what was needed, especially when interacting with two different families. We didn't have Cesar for the whole reception, so he made sure to get great shots of the cocktail hour and the dances and group shots on our list beforehand. Absolutely beautiful photos that we will treasure forever. The length of this review should show you how great Cesar's services were appreciated!

Ivy & Quartz Photography

Bethesda, MD
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,750

Hi! I'm Nina and I run Ivy & Quartz photography! I shot my first wedding in 2013, but my journey with photography began long before that. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed. My intrigue continued to grow over the years and I went on to earn my BA in Studio Art , Photography, from the University of Virginia. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Awarded Best of Zola
Nina is AMAZING and an absolute pleasure to work with! She shot our wedding and engagement shoot this year, and we had the best experience. She has a wonderful personality and made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout each shoot! She is very organized, detail-oriented, and reliable, and she really took all of our comments about details we wanted captured to heart. Her photography and editing skills are top-notch; many of our family members and friends commented that they are the best photos they've ever seen! Her second photographer, Lacey, was similarly wonderful! I'd recommend booking her now!!

Anji and Pete were an absolute delight to work with. Their creative vision is so beautiful and lively, and personally they were wonderful at our engagement shoot and on the wedding day. Any engaged friends of ours are getting referred to them, no question.

Chris Ferenzi Photography

5.0

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,600

Hey, I'm Chris! Dog-lover, latte-lover, gym-lover, and cookie-lover I justify the cookies by going to the gym. One of my life goals is to have enough dogs (dachshunds and corgis) to create a sled team. I will use this sled team to pull myself around while shooting your wedding. I’m joking, unless you really want me to, in which maybe WE should get married.

Chris was kind, professional and great to work with. We highly recommend his services!

Lindsay King Photography

5.0

Arlington, VA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500

We are a passionate and creative husband and wife photography team who have a serious soft spot for documenting love stories. The big and little moments in life matter and we believe that everyone deserves to have photos that remind them of all the joy, tears, laughter, and adventure that surrounded them on the most momentous days in their life.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I worked with Lindsay and Greg for both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and cannot say enough good things! As people who are *not* models or familiar being photographed, we were nervous about how things would turn out and Lindsay and Greg made it incredibly easy and natural. They went out of their way to get to know us beforehand and put us at ease, which certainly came through in our engagement pictures! We knew we wanted wedding photos that felt candid and captured the day itself as opposed to a ton of posed portraits and they did a spectacular job helping bring our vision to life. All of our friends and family who have seen our photos have remarked that they are joyful and bring them back to our wedding day--exactly as we'd hoped!! In addition to being great at their job, they are really lovely people to work with and were a very calming presence on our chaotic wedding day! Highly recommend for any one looking for a photographer for their special day!

Hi there! I’m Sharon! I am a long-time professional photographer, a former award-winning photojournalist, and an official photographer for the Canadian Embassy. I love photographing weddings and I provide beautiful, bold, and romantic images for my couples to treasure forever.

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Sharon was such a pleasure for both of our events, and she had our photos ready in a matter of days. The photos were such high quality, and you can tell she really loves and cares about what she does. She brought along two separate second shooters (one to each event), who were also extremely professional and talented. I cannot say enough great things about our experience!!
