19Main
New Milford, CT
  • Up to 130 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $6,000

Constructed soon after the Great Fire of 1902, The United Bank Building was built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed, New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. The two banks immediately organized to rebuild, quickly agreeing in principal to build a joint facility on the site of the New England House, a locally well known tavern and inn located at the corner of Bank and Main Street. For most of its life, the building had been used in some form of a bank, but had been largely under-used in recent decades, and had fallen into disrepair. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and taken over by Village Green Investments in 2015. After 9 months of renovations, the building became 19Main. Throughout renovations, we strived for modern amenities with historic elegance; three vaults remain from the building’s former bank days.

The Boylston Rooms

5.0

Easthampton, MA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $6,600

Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. Whatever your style, with over 140 pieces of decor, if you can picture it in the space, we can make it happen.

Awarded Best of Zola
There is so much that I can say about the wonderful team The Boylston Rooms has curated. From the beginning of the wedding planning process, Erin, Myles and Jacquetta were available every step of the way. Their communication, responsiveness, and general excitement about the day made the entire process seamless. When our day arrived, each part of their team stopped at nothing to make sure that our wedding was as perfect as can be. (It was Jacquetta’s day off and she even stopped by to check in as she was in the area!) I initially booked The Boylston Rooms because it is truly a venue you can customize to your own vision. I loved that it was an industrial blank canvas that we turned into a floral disco dream. However, it was the team at The Boylston Rooms that truly made it the most special day.

From start to finish, we customize and coordinate each little detail to ensure you the best day ever on your wedding day!

I honestly don't even know where to begin to describe just how incredible our wedding reception was at Diamond Mills. When we first met with Brianne to learn about weddings at Diamond Mills, we knew we were going to be in good hands and that we were going to have the most incredible and special day. Brianne and Bethany took care of us from beginning to end. There easy to fill out homework packets helped us make sure we had everything we needed ahead of time. They planned the entire timeline for us, were there to meet months ahead, were there the days before when we had to drop off our stuff and were of course there the day of. They were so flexible with everything, they arranged our decorations for us and made everything look better than we ever could have imagined. It was also incredible because even though many others have been married their before they allowed us to put our own touches on things and made us feel so special that it felt as though our wedding was so unique. The staff all around was incredible from not just the event coordinators but also the waiters, bussers, bartenders and chefs. The food was absolutely incredible from the appetizers to the cheese spread to the outstanding entrees and of course the delicious cake. Our guests are still raving about the food, drinks, the staff and of course how beautiful the location was. The amazing balcony overlooking the waterfalls is just the most perfect place for cocktail hour and pictures. The ballroom was so incredibly beautiful. I also have to mention how great it was for our bridal party to have the bridal suite. We also did an after party at the Tavern which was awesome because we had our guests just walk right next door and keep the party going. Then not to mention the hotel being situated right there which allowed our guests the comfort of walking right upstairs when they were done. We absolutely loved every second of it from working with Brianne and Bethany almost a year ahead of time, to the dinner tasting which was incredible, to the planning, and then the whole day of. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place. If you want to have your wedding at a location that your guests will love, that you can turn into your own unique day, that will put your mind at ease and give you the most incredible day, you have to choose Diamond Mills!

Our wedding at The Riverview was an absolute dream! We simply could not have asked for a more perfect venue or location for our wedding reception. Riverview was the first venue we toured, and we had a remarkable experience meeting with Maureen and discussing the wedding of our dreams. We left there with two other local venues to tour, and made our way back to Riverview. The other venues simply could not compare or compete with what Riverview had to offer and the beautiful venue! We knew instantly that we were in good hands. Our wedding-coordinator, Kayla, was simply amazing. She was so attentive to detail and very responsive. She is so personable and friendly, and made it a true pleasure and joy to plan our wedding details with her. She made it such a seamless and smooth process, and everything happened so perfectly the day of our reception thanks to Kayla and the bridal team. Our two bridal attendants were very sweet and friendly, and always made sure that we had a drink in our hands and ate every food item that was served. The food was top notch and simply exceptional. We loved how our bridal attendants and Kayla stopped us at every point in the night when a new meal was served to ensure that we sat down and ate. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have eaten the entire evening as we were having so much fun. Our guests raved, and continue to rave, about how exceptional the food was. Our review could go on and on describing simply how amazing, wonderful and incredible the entire team is at Riverview, and the top notch venue for a dream of a wedding. We couldn't be happier with our choice. Every detail and aspect that Riverview had to offer exceeded our expectations, which resulted in the wedding of our dreams and a perfect wedding day. We keep reliving the evening in our minds and are forever grateful for Riverview. Thank you, Riverview, Maureen, and Kayla for making our wedding day truly amazing, special and unforgettable. We highly recommend The Riverview for your wedding venue needs!

Tricia & Marty were amazing through the whole processes of wedding planning. We originally booked with them pre-pandemic based on their beautiful landscaping and our interaction with them. We felt like a part of their family from the start. With all of the ups and downs 2020 brought, they made sure to keep us posted with any state requirements and answered our millions of questions/concerns. Lippincott had the rustic/modern feel that we love and it was more stunning in person and we received tons of complements. They took care of everything so we can just enjoy our wedding day. We truly were lucky that we found Lippincott Manor and looking forward to going back for future weddings!

We got married at The Lake House on Saturday, June 10, 2023 and were VERY happy with our choice of venue! Our guests did not stop talking about how pretty the lake and foliage surrounding it were, plus the fountain in the lake (which was newly added just before our wedding). We held our ceremony outdoors in front of the willow tree and our cocktail hour split between the parlor room and the lakefront, and all our outdoor photos were stunning. One of the main reasons we picked The Lake House was because we didn’t have to decide until day-of where on the property we wanted our ceremony to be, so we were able to make a last minute call based on the weather. We lucked out on getting to go with the outdoor option, but unfortunately the way our ceremony was set up, all the photos of us walking down the aisle have cars in the parking lot in the background (there were no cars in the parking lot when we did our tour, so we didn’t even think about this in advance). This is just a note for your photographer, or possibly a reason to angle the chairs differently than we did. A solvable issue! The Lake House’s team was very easy to work with leading up to our event and really helped us get excited about the day. They were prompt in responding to our questions, flexible with requests (such as signature drinks, adjusting the start time of our ceremony after booking, and allowing us to bring in almost any decor we wanted), and clearly experienced in wedding planning/execution. Two additional things that made The Lake House stand out to us were the fact that they had 2 bridal suites, which is hard to find but important for us as an LGTBQ couple with 2 brides, and a really high-quality speaker system that our DJ was able to plug into (for a fee). One challenge we had was that despite providing an extremely detailed map of where we wanted our decor set up and going over it during an in-person meeting with the coordinators just 2 days before our wedding when we dropped it all off, the decor was not set up as we asked it to be when we arrived day-of. We were only allowed to arrive 1.5 hours in advance of our ceremony, so this was stressful, since we and our immediate family members had to run around adjusting things before guests arrived. At the end of the night, the staff did not provide much help packing things up either. We would recommend hiring a day-of coordinator rather than just relying on their staff, specifically for setup and breakdown. The only other complaint we had was that dinner service was incredibly slow. Everyone at a given table was served at the same time, but half of the room was finished with their meals before the other half was served. This caused our post-dinner activities to be extremely delayed, and we ended up paying our photographer, videographer, and DJ extra cash on the spot to stay longer than they had signed up for. The food was good, though, and dessert was even better! We added the adult ice cream sundae bar as a second dessert option, and it was a big hit. One last thing of note is that the venue is entirely handicap accessible and has plenty of parking, two things that were important to us and not true of all the other venues we considered. Overall, we would highly recommend The Lake House as a wedding venue with some proactive planning around the concerns we listed above. We had an incredible day!

Our wedding at Black Walnut Farm was nothing short of magical and truly felt like it was built to host our special day. From the moment we set foot on the grounds, we were enchanted by the charming vintage touches, luxurious feel, and unique rustic beauty that surrounded us. The beautifully restored barn, set amidst the woods, provided the perfect backdrop for our rustic chic fairytale wedding. Sarah, Jim, and the team at Black Walnut Farm went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our day was perfect. From the initial meeting where we discussed our vision for the wedding, to the day of the event itself, they truly exceeded our expectations. The venue's unique offerings, such as the green retro Ford truck and cool photo lounge, added an extra touch of charm and personality to our day. They even included lawn games, an amazing bonfire/firepit (and smore's!), fresh popcorn, and an audio guestbook housed in a vintage phone booth. One of my favorite touches was a beautiful oversized mirror also which doubled as our welcome sign! The farm house, where we got ready, was the perfect spot for us to prepare for the day ahead, with its quaint and unique beauty. Further, as grand as the venue was, there was something so personal and special about this setting for this meetings of our lives and families. Sarah's warmth and care were evident throughout the entire planning process, and Jim's creativity and hard work made the magic happen. Through all the stresses of wedding planning, we felt that we had real partner in this venue and its stewards. We are forever grateful that they decided to start this venue together. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the venue, and our photographer even remarked on how it was "not just another ballroom venue." We said our I do's at the meadow ceremony site with a beautiful line of trees in the background, and it was absolutely perfect. Thank you, Sarah and Jim, for making our wedding day beyond our wildest dreams. Your passion, dedication, and creativity made our day unforgettable. We are forever grateful for the memories we created at Black Walnut Farm.

Woodwinds

4.3

Branford, CT
  • Up to 600 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $110

WoodWinds is one of the most sought after Connecticut wedding venues for wedding receptions, banquets, corporate events or any special occasion, in the Tri-State area. A wedding in our impressive European Country Manor will reflect your personal vision. Imagine a magical experience, enhanced by a unique ceremony and reception on the beautiful grounds of WoodWinds. Envision standing on a grand staircase under the twinkle of Austrian Crystal chandeliers, taking pictures in a magnificent garden and dancing the night away on a marble dance floor.

The Woodwinds made my dreams a reality… When we first walked into the woodwinds and met Vanessa, we were blown away by the staircase. I immediately could picture my fiancé and I taking pictures there with our wedding party. As we walked through vanessa painted such a beautiful picture of what our day would look like and how easy everything would be. We were told “all you need is a DJ, Photographer, and JP and we take care of the rest” they were not kidding. I mean we actually had someone the night of our wedding basically thinking for us. He was like a tour guide taking us step by step through our night. The entire process from booking to partying was absolutely seamless. Vanessa toured us, answered all of our questions, even my moms questions while we face timed her during our tour, and helped us with the contract so we could lock in our date for this beautiful venue. Once we had our date, Michael took over and I must say… he rocks!!!!!! He is like a floorplan guru. We explained where we wanted everything and as we spoke he was rearranging everything live. We wanted to do a memorial table, photo booth, welcome table, favor table and he just had space for everything. FYI they have this thing called the MTA…it is a lifesaver. As we got our RSVP’s in, it was so overwhelming, but Michael was to the rescue and when I called him he sent it right over and explained it and having a space to organize our RSVP’s and what meals each guest were getting was so helpful. The best part is when I started getting those calls…”oh don’t sit me with Joann”…it was so easy to drag them to another table. All the woodwinds staff was so knowledgeable about the venue and the food. I didn’t know what to write on our invitation cards for meal selections so I called them up and Kate answered and knew what every food dish was and explained it in such detail I was starving after the conversation. The planning team was impeccable…the night of our wedding was just as smooth and its almost like all the employees were sitting in our meetings and phone calls because they all knew exactly what we wanted, where all the decorations went, even down to what my favorite drink was so I never had to ask. I’m so happy we got married at woodwinds and they made our dreams come true. We could not have asked for a better experience and we may have to start doing anniversary parties just to go back!!!
