Camp Holiday Trails is such a wonderful, unique wedding venue. It has has an Everyone-is-Welcome summer camp vibe. There are plenty of accommodations for you, your family, your wedding party and more to stay there on site and make a weekend out of it, so you can spend quality time together. From a photographer's point of view, there were plenty of beautiful options around the property for doing portraits. You can do photos up by these very old, historic barns up on a hill, or down by the creek, with a pretty bridge or down by the lake where there is an array of colorful canoes!

Spotswood Lodge

5.0

Gordonsville, VA
  • Up to 75 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,000

Originally built in 1788, Spotswood Lodge exudes a timeless allure, blending historic grandeur with modern comforts to create a truly unforgettable experience. Wander through the hills, linger beneath the willows, and lose yourself in the wonder of the flowers. For in these simple moments, you'll find the true essence of Spotswood Lodge—the magic, the reverence, and the wonder that make it a place unlike any other.

I had my wedding at the Spotswood Lodge in October of 2023. I had my eye on this beautiful property even before my engagement, as I was already leaning towards an intimate, small, airbnb-type wedding with family and a few close friends. In the end, we had 18 people hosted at the wedding, 14 of which stayed as our guests in the lodge. If you're thinking of having your wedding ceremony at the property like I did, it was beyond perfect. There are multiple places on the property that are picture-perfect for a ceremony/first-look/vows/etc. The sprawling property was so comfortable and the house is more than well equipped to handle big groups like this. The team was so sweet, accommodating and easily reachable for any questions I had about my untraditional wedding weekend. I absolutely recommend this spot to host your big wedding party or do like I did, and have the wedding on the property itself.

Greenock Manor

5.0

Orange, VA
  • Up to 125 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,000

Greenock Manor is a 150 year old Farm house with towering giant trees (they are grand old grandpa's and we love them!) The Manor is a beautiful restored traditional American Victorian style farm house with a delightful wrap around balcony. We aim at a homely feel for our bridal families to reduce stress. We include a ton of props - so please visit us - we look so forward to meeting you We set up the ceremony chairs for our couples as well as the tables and chairs for the reception area before you arrive for your wedding day to reduce stress. Any decor items you need are set up by us such as shepherd hooks, easels, signs and much more. We also include lawn games and we have a firepit for use just to add extra ambience. Best part we are across the road from the nearest hotel so guests can walk to our venue AND up to 16 guests can sleep over at Greenock for the whole weekend - so many more happy memories. We can include a planner to manage your wedding on your wedding day too!

My husband and I got engaged in December of 2017. We were both so excited to start planning and had decided initially to wait until 2019 to get married. In February of 2018 my father was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I was adamant on getting married while my father could be present. Chanel found a weekend in August open and held my hand through every step of the process. Not only did she go above and beyond through planning and staging but she also would text me to check in on my dad and offer us prayers. We rented the venue for the weekend which hosted myself, bridesmaids, and their spouses and CHILDREN. I cannot stress enough how accommodating she was not only to us adults but also to the ever curious little ones that scurried around. My day was beautiful and I got to build what I'd like to think of as a life long friendship with Chanel. She cared not only about our day but about my family. She made allowances for us so my father could have rest and have accommodations he needed. She never got upset with his (as he called it) "chemo brain" or when he was short - just more loving, patient, and understanding. Greenock manor will forever be so special to all of us.

Trump Winery

5.0

Charlottesville, VA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $7,000

*For quickest response please reach out directly on site* Trump Winery is the venue where your wedding dreams come true. Whether you’ve envisioned an extravagant event or an elopement for just the two of you, we promise to create memories that you and your loved ones will cherish forever. Our 1300 acre property is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, conveniently located 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville. Our grounds have picture-perfect rolling hills, lakes, and over 200 acres of vines. Trump Winery couples benefit from indoor and outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour and reception settings, in well-appointed, heated and air-conditioned, luxury venues. Less than a mile away from both the Barn & Pavilion and the Grand Hall is our Albemarle Estate at Trump Winery, a 26,000-square foot, 11 bedroom mansion that provides overnight lodging for guests and a honeymoon night option for couples.

My husband and I chose Trump Winery for our wedding venue because we wanted a chapel for the ceremony and a barn for the reception. Luckily, Trump Winery had both, so best of both worlds! We are very happy with our decision because some guests danced on the dance floor while others went outside on the patio to talk and enjoy the winery views. It can be difficult to talk while there's music blasting. Beth Zitzman, the Events Manager at Trump Winery, was very helpful and friendly from the venue tour to throughout the wedding planning process to the day of the wedding. Trump Winery does have strict vendor rules. One being the caterer has to be a vendor from their Preferred Vendor List, which is listed on the contract. The other vendors don't have to be from the Preferred Vendor List, but they have to be approved by Beth after the vendor fills out two vendor forms and adds Trump Winery as an additional insured company on their certificate of insurance. This process wasn't too bad as all the vendors I chose that weren't on Trump's Preferred Vendor List got approved. For a sparklers exit, Trump Winery requires galvanized buckets and sand for the used sparklers. Trump Winery also requires a day of coordinator. Cody Smith was my day of coordinator and she's the best! She's very familiar with Trump Winery and has been in the wedding industry for years. Cody is so on top of things and responds really quickly to emails and texts. She made my wedding absolutely seamless! All my guests told me they really enjoyed the wedding and the venue was wonderful. I was awestruck when I saw all my photos, beautiful and classic venue!

As a full-service venue, we offer in-house catering, rentals, and several unique locations for your big day! Our beautifully renovated Ballroom was designed with you in mind—it provides a blank canvas to transform into whatever vision you love (and has beautiful local reclaimed wooden floors)! For outdoor ceremony, we have two beautiful options. The first is on the 10th tee. This location overlooks the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The other outdoor option is the Glenmore Pavilion. Designed by the team behind Pippin Hill, this beautiful, new open-air pavilion overlooks the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains, and it is covered so you would not need to worry about renting a tent for your outdoor space. This location is perfect for both ceremony and reception.

What a beautiful venue! The Club at Glenmore is a perfect choice for a wedding celebration. Their facilities are gorgeous, with unique areas for getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for guests. They went above and beyond for my couple, turning their champagne wall from cocktail hour into a display of late-night french fries and sliders - how fun!! I love that they are an inclusive vendor for LGBTQI couples. Stacy is so kind and helpful, and helps make the wedding experience for the couple and vendors just seamless. I highly recommend The Club at Glenmore!

My husband and I loved our experience with VRV as our wedding venue. From the jump, we loved meeting with Barbara. The day we went venue shopping, we had a number of experiences in the area where we just felt like a number and they truly didn't care about us or getting our business. Barbara was genuinely interested in getting to know us as a couple and we felt cared for and valued. In an area where the wedding industry can be a machine, we felt like people - and more than that, family. The wedding itself was intimate, accommodating, scenic, and everything we would have wanted. Barbara was amazing to work with, as we figured she would be from our amazing first meeting. We really appreciate her for being flexible and accommodating as plans came together and changed leading up to the wedding. In an industry of potentially flakey vendors, VRV/Barbara were extremely helpful in being the glue to hold everything together and keep things moving forward. I also want to give a big shout out to Ben who was the lead organizer for the venue on the wedding day and he was terrific; our grandmas, who needed to be escorted around via golf cart at times, seemed to have the best time and had a constant smile on their face in Ben's company. I also must mention the pure beauty of the venue. My husband and I got married in late October and the trees could not have been more beautiful. The site of the ceremony was stunninh with the mountain backdrop and the barn had a magical feel in the Fall as it turned from day to night. Also the opportunity for the couple to go up to the top of the mountain for pictures was every bit as awesome as I thought it would be. Overall, if I could give the venue 10 stars here, I would. Could not recommend enough
