My husband handed me a DSLR camera and I started calling on my friends to do photoshoots. Next thing I knew, Markina B. Photography was born and it's been going ever since. What I love about being a photographer is that I get to see emotions, expressions, memories and joy-fullness through my lens. I'm Sian (pronounced Shawn), How I got into wedding photography is kind of a funny story. One day I had an ex boyfriend from high school reach out to me about photographing their wedding. I humbly accepted their offer, making it clear to them that I've never photographed a wedding before. I wasn't even sure wedding photographer was a path I wanted to go down, but after that first wedding, I was certain I had to shoot more. And the more I shoot over the years, the deeper in love I fall. Without a doubt in my mind, capturing couples love stories is one of my greatest passions in life.

Outside of convincing people to let me take their photos, I enjoy hiking, trips to the North Shore, crime show binges, brewery hopping, dance floors, cheese curds, and looking for my next creative outlet. My days don’t start until I’ve had my coffee and if you’re a good, kind human we’ll be friends for life. Enough about me!
