Having worked alongside each other in the Wedding and Events Industry in San Francisco for over 12 years, my husband Willy and I have seen hundreds of events and weddings (not being facetious) and had worked with thousands more (again, no joke). Needless to say, we had seen that with every event we attended the vendors and the guests alike seemed to be going through the motions. When we decided to get married in 2013, we knew we couldn't rationalize spending money, time, or energy on a wedding that didn't speak to us as a couple or as creatives. We ended up getting married at a nontraditional location which enabled us to create our wedding from scratch. With the help of lots of amazing friends and family, we made everything from the benches to the tables, and all of the decor.

GreenGale Farms is a lush oasis in the heart of Las Vegas that serves as a sanctuary for over 150 wild and domesticated rescue animals. This land was originally settled by the Gilcrease family and has been farmed continuously since the early 20th century. The GreenGale family purchased the land to prevent encroaching developers who would have cut down all of the trees, sold off all of the water, and built hundreds of homes. We are a 501 (c)(3) 6,500 acre Dude Ranch in Morgan, UT for Military and Survivor families. Inviting veterans and their families to escape their day-to-day and come to the ranch to experience a week-long vacation where we work hard and play hard. Here you will learn to raise animals and grow your own food, push cattle and play cowboy for a week.

The area which now comprises Memory Grove Park was set aside as a city park in 1902. The park however, remained unimproved until the 1920s when the women of the Salt Lake chapter of the Service Star Legion asked the city to designate the park as a memorial honoring America's soldiers and spearheaded the planting of trees and placement of monuments in the park. Memorial House was constructed around 1890 as a stable and equipment storage shed for contractor Patrick J. Moran. When Salt Lake City acquired the park area in 1902, the city's water department used the building as their barn, tool shed, and blacksmith shop as it was located directly across from the city's water intake structure on City Creek. In 1926, Salt Lake City leased the building to the Service Star Legion which planned to use it for veteran's activities and they renovated it to become an events center, there have been weddings held at Memorial House ever since. Now operated by Preservation Utah.
