Trained at Dubspot School of Electronic Music in New York City, Davis Mallory's DJ style is influenced by his childhood in Atlanta, Georgia, time exploring the music scenes of Chicago, Europe and New York, Los Angeles and Music City: Nashville, Tennessee. Davis has performed at countless weddings, nightclubs and fundraisers with some career highlights including: the Denver Nuggets Halftime Show, opening for Eurovision winner Netta in Stockholm, Country Music Fest 2014, Amsterdam's Club NYX and MadFox, the Anheuser-Busch Awards opening for James Corden and KC & the Sunshine Band, and Vanderbilt Homecoming playing with Aaron Carter.

I planned our entire wedding and reception and coordinated it all, too. My new bride told me that with my personality, my intense desire to always provide phenomenal customer service, my love of music, my business skills, and the awesome job I did with our wedding and reception, I should start doing it for other couples. Motor City HDJ started in 1999 as a way to pay for college. The more of my friends' weddings I attended, the more I realized how many bad DJs are out there in the world. I decided at that point I was going to be the "anti-DJ," committing myself to do the opposite of the things that bad DJs do.

I started as a wedding DJ back in early 2013. I quickly started to realize that this is the profession I could spend the rest of my life doing. I've performed everything from weddings to your corner bar. I've earned a Bachelor of Science from Oakland University, but could not avoid my passion for wedding entertainment. Those who know would say I'm well versed, exciting, and pleasant to be around. To this day I have performed at well over 300 weddings as well as many other types events. I am engaged myself and know how hard planning a wedding can be which is why I'm excited to help you plan your special day!
