“Brandon Despres was the perfect choice for our wedding! We were looking for a DJ who would be fun, roll with some interesting requests, and get the party going without *becoming* the party and he did all that and more. Brandon was really easy to plan with, had no problem splicing songs for our Mother-Son dance where my husband suddenly switched from a traditional waltz to the twist with his mom, and also deftly handled a table round-robin photo shoot that took far too long, a community Contra dance which included a 15 min instruction from a caller in advance, and so much more. Finally, I will say that he was also a consummate professional. He somehow managed to keep a smile on his face the entire evening despite the fact that we were late getting to the venue due to pictures and the onsite coordinator for the location asked him to have people seated and then 20 minutes later very rudely yelled at him for having our guests sit down after cocktail hour. I honestly think I was more incredulous at her behavior than he was, and I can’t thank him enough for approaching the situation with all the grace in the world. Brandon is a true gem of a DJ and you will not regret hiring him… our dance floor was full ALL NIGHT!”

“Look no further than The Hook Club for your wedding band. We genuinely cannot say enough good things. Prior to the wedding, I researched and listened to a dozen or more bands. We kept coming back to THC because their online videos had an authentic, non-studio-enhanced sound that still beat out the quality of in-studio work from others. We really didn't want to take the final leap though until we could see them live. Dan was super-patient with us throughout the process, keeping us posted on when a showcase came down the pipeline. When we finally got to see them, it took about 2 songs to confirm they were the band for us. On our big day, we had an 11-piece band after the bride's dad surprised us with an add-on fiddler. Having said this, the band had 14 or 15 different people making music over the course of the night, as even their sound engineers got in on the action at different times. Every style and tempo was phenomenal--from songs in Spanish to the Hora to Motown to pop, they nailed it all. My wife and I have different tastes in music, yet both came away immensely satisfied with the setlist. I can't even count how many of our guests came up to us throughout the night complimenting the band. On top of it all, they learned (at least) four special request songs--these were performed with the perfect balance of true to why we love the songs, but with that live-music spin on things. THC was our favorite of all the vendors we worked with. Seriously--hire them now and save yourself time to plan the million other things on your list!”

“Hiring Herbert Holler was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our vision was a longer reception to leave plenty of room for dancing, being together, having fun and really wanted it to be a great time for everyone there, for all ages. HH had everyone dancing at the same time- kids, teenagers, or friends, our parents' friends, and my 89 year old grandmother. He was spot on in reading the room- which wasn't the most straight forward - I asked him to sprinkle some Arabic music in so my Lebanese family could come together over familiar music- all I did was provide him a couple of titles and he ran with the rest. Didn't overdo it, and everybody joined in. It was a dream. HH was professional the whole way through and didn't require tons of collab, and was flexible and quickly responsive. My advice: Hire HH.”

“We met Denise when she DJ'd a friend's wedding and it was the most fun reception I'd ever attended. I knew she HAD to be my DJ if ever I got married! From day 1 of meeting with her for our wedding, it was clear that her goal was to give us the best party of our lives, whatever that looked like to us. She had great advice throughout the entire process and took time to get to know us and what style/vibe we wanted for our reception. Communication is key, and she had the logistics of the reception planned down to the minute. The music portal is very user friendly and it was really fun to think through our music. If you need song advice, she's your gal. She will strictly adhere to your do NOT play list. She gets the guests engaged and is truly a party starter (if that's what you want). Our guests told us they were sore the next morning because they literally never left the dance floor. Many have asked us to do an annual anniversary party and have Denise DJ it. “One of the perks of using our wedding venue (Granite Rose in Hampstead, NH) is they include a DJ through Main Event Entertainment in our chosen package. We were given a worksheet to fill out with our music preferences, and Main Event Entertainment paired us with the perfect DJ, DJ Lloyd Mnaphi.
