Olio: Modern / Industrial Event Space

5.0

Peabody, MA
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $3,000

This historic space has been outfitted with every modern amenity to be the ideal space to host the perfect wedding. We provide a non-traditional venue so that our clients have a blank slate to start from and can make the space their own. Without any décor, the soaring ceilings and cement walls feel "industrial chic" but clients can transform the space with glitz and glam, rustic touches, romantic lighting, modern lines, whimsical details, and vintage furniture. If you can dream it, it can be done at Olio. Located just North of Boston, Massachusetts, in the heart of New England, the venue is conveniently located and easily accessible to Logan Airport and nearby accommodations and attractions. Olio welcomes all and actively seeks out LGBTQIA+ identifying clients. Pricing and lots more information, including FAQs and tips/tricks are on Olio's website and social media accounts. Inquire today to schedule a tour!

We had our 175-person wedding (on-site ceremony) at Olio in early November, and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. The space is STUNNING and everything came together beautifully the day of. So many guests told us how much they loved the venue/how unique it was. How much passion and attention Sarah has poured into Olio is palpable! From our first tour in July 2022 until our wedding day, everyone we interacted with at Olio was extremely professional, responsive, and kind. At no point did I feel like just another client in their lineup. Also, their transparency and modern website was a breath of fresh air after literally chasing other venues down for basic information. I planned our wedding from France, and Olio was very accommodating when I asked to visit during the brief weeks I was in MA leading up to the wedding. It was usually Jenna that was there, who was always warm and welcoming. Besides a gorgeous space and top-notch team, Olio’s location was perfect for us. Main St feels iconically New England (which our international guests appreciated), there is ample parking nearby, and we got some great pictures in the area. We spent 2 nights at the Bell Inn and had our welcome party at Granite Coast Brewery; to have everything on the same street was so convenient! Side note: if you are looking for day-of-coordination services, do yourself a favor and book with Sarah/Without a Hitch (her OG baby) - truly one of the best decisions of our entire wedding experience. I could keep ranting about how much we loved Olio and the phenomenal people behind it, but I’ll end with saying that if you want a gorgeous, transparent, responsive, flexible, unique, and genuinely people-centered venue – Olio is it!

Beverly, MA

  • Starts at $6,000

Elegant plantings and cultivated grounds fill this public garden with vibrancy that's more than a century in the making. Long Hill is a property of The Trustees of Reservations, a Massachusetts non-profit corporation. From 1916 to 1979, Long Hill was the summer home of noted author and editor of The Atlantic Monthly, Ellery Sedgwick. He summered here with his first wife, Mabel Cabot Sedgwick, an accomplished horticulturist, gardener, and author of The Garden Month by Month, and his second wife, Marjorie Russell Sedgwick, a rare plants specialist—both of whom created a delightful, enchanting landscape, surrounded by more than 100 acres of woodland. Today, visitors delight in the beauty of Long Hill’s structured and naturalistic gardens as well as a network of woodland trails. A diverse collection of trees, shrubs, and distinctive perennial plants provide color during the growing season, peaking in May and June and providing structure and beauty throughout the year.

I want to share an enthusiastic recommendation for Long Hill as a wedding venue. The experience we had at this venue for our wedding was nothing short of extraordinary, and we believe it would be the perfect setting to create cherished memories for your own celebration. From the moment we set foot onto the grounds of Long Hill, we were transported to a world of unparalleled beauty and historical significance. The meticulously maintained gardens, boasting vibrant blooms and a serene ambiance, provided a captivating backdrop that exceeded our wildest dreams. Every corner of the venue emanated enchanting charm and timeless elegance. What truly sets Long Hill apart is the rich heritage that permeates its every facet. The venue's historical significance adds a layer of grandeur and a sense of reverence to any event hosted there. Celebrating our union in a space that has witnessed countless love stories over the years was a truly humbling and awe-inspiring experience. The architectural splendor, period details, and overall ambiance of the venue added an extra touch of charm and created an atmosphere that will linger in our memories forever. We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated staff who tirelessly maintain the breathtaking gardens. Their commitment and hard work contribute to the picturesque setting that made our wedding day so extraordinary. Their attention to detail and the impeccable upkeep of the venue truly enhance the overall experience for guests and make every event a resounding success. The compliments we received from our guests about the beauty and historical significance of the venue were numerous. Veasey Memorial Park

5.0

Groveland, MA
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,500

Known as the "hidden gem" of Groveland, Veasey Memorial Park rests within 45 acres of conservation land with 80 acres of freshwater views. Established in 1909, the land boasts many of its natural features, tying it back to its unique and rich history, including the original family estate. Host your ceremony along the hilltops, overlooking preservation land, nestled in one of the community manicured gardens, or inside the venue's custom built chapel. Later, transition to a free flowing cocktail hour on the back lawn, and enjoy an outdoor tented reception for your closest family and friends. Needing an informal and budget friendly rain plan? No problem, this property includes access to its indoor community center chapel. Veasey Memorial Park takes all proceeds to help preserve its open land. The land is available to the public to include miles of walking trails and opportunities to picnic, fish and canoe all along the Massachussetts' north shore.

Vanessa, who resides on site at Veasey Park, made our planning and event execution a total breeze! Her recommendations for bartender and tent/event setup were exactly what we needed. They were attentive and professional. Everyone we encountered in planning and holding our event were so easy to get in touch with, and Vanessa walked us through every step of the way. If you love a beautiful outdoor setting like we do, this historical park is for you! The grounds are stunning, complete with an old 1920’s hunting lodge built by the Veasey family. The park offers stunning views of the lake below, a great playground for young guests to enjoy, and if you time your event correctly, you will find the local farmer bringing his goats in to graze on the abundant vegetation. This venue really focuses on maintaining the natural beauty of the property, both inside and out! If you are looking for a cozier, cooler weather setup, just look to the gorgeous hunting lodge with it’s beautiful hardwood floors and stone chimneys! It was an absolute dream, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choosing Veasey Park for a wedding party!

Nahant Country Club Estate

5.0

Nahant, MA
  • Up to 220 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

The Nahant Country Club Estate is a New England style Mansion built in 1824 as "Ice King" Frederick Tudor's summer home. Our 'hidden gem' is located minutes from the beach and only 20 minutes north of Boston. Featuring gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from, we create the perfect backdrop for your wedding day or any special occasion. Our garden side gazebo lends itself as an intimate outdoor ceremony & photo location. We have indoor options as well. Your cocktail hour in the Nautical lounge, Crystal room and garden terrace enables you to have the outdoor experience without being too concerned for New England weather. The bridal suite is the perfect place to get prepared for the big day. Who needs the hustle and bustle of running around to meet appointments on wedding day? Let them come to you. We want you to feel at home in this private mansion setting.

We had a wonderful wedding at the Nahant Country Club. Yasmene and Heather were great to work with and our wedding ran incredibly smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful and unique, our guests had a great time. The prices are incredibly reasonable and we additionally received an off season discount. Their wedding packages include so much beyond the standard wedding packages including the use of the bridal suite, appetizers/champagne in the bridal suite on the wedding day, use of their (beautiful) centerpieces, a separate happy hour for the wedding party during photographs and much more. Yasmene went above and beyond on our wedding day- she even sewed my nephew's superhero mask when it broke. Many of our guests commented on how she was the best wedding coordinator they had ever seen. Overall, we are incredibly happy with our selection of the Nahant Country Club. It is a beautiful venue run by incredibly efficient and kind women!
