I absolutely enjoy what I do, I've been providing solid high quality entertainment to couples all over the state of Iowa for almost 40 years! I started my DJ career in 1984 in Davenport Iowa, at that time I was using two turntables and had to haul big heavy crates of LPs with me. Now I use 2 specifically dedicated laptop computers that hold nearly 100,000 songs, wow isn't technology great!

I’m a classically trained, professional violinist, specializing in solo acoustic and electric violin. I love working with couples and event planners. I’ve been playing violin since I was 4 and I’ve been doing paid violin gigs since I was 10 as a soloist and with a quartet. I’ve traveled the world with my violin, including performing in England, Italy, China, Austria, South Korea, Germany and Japan. In 2021, I have over 30 scheduled events as a solo violinist, which is pretty good for a working attorney!

After spending more than 8 years of DJing for another local company, and being told by clients that we should start our own company, we decided to take the leap into our own company. In 2009, Select Entertainment of Iowa was created. We value the service that we strive to provide our clients. We use professional equipment for all of our events. We will coordinate your reception with all your other vendors so that it is a fine-tuned event and leaves the bride and groom time to enjoy their evening with their family and friends.

I got into DJing by accident. After learning that working as an Industrial Engineer in a fortune 500 company didn't bring me much fulfillment, a friend suggested I join his DJ company. His company supplied DJ services for over 200 weddings a year! After my first wedding gig I was hooked. It gave me purpose, and an outlet I never knew was possible. I quickly became the most requested DJ in the company and within my market. Now I DJ on my own, and I'm so blessed to be able to curate an atmosphere of joy where families can connect.
