I filmed my first wedding when I was only 18, and 5+ years later I am still super duper passionate about what I do. I love documenting the messy, organic, emotional, silly, jaw-dropping, playful, raw moments that unfold in front of my camera…the moments that you want to relive over and over again. I have always loved filmmaking! Yep, in school I was the nerd running around with a video camera in my hand everywhere I went. While the jocks and cheerleaders were doing what they do, I was the one editing their videos for the broadcast journalism class. I had no idea I would love creating wedding films until I actually fell in love myself. The love for my wife, what marriage means to me, and the passion I have for filmmaking has brought me to this place today. I consider it an absolute honor to be there for your wedding day…and I hope we can be friends along the way too 🙂

I'm Kristen, a creative media producer from Oklahoma City. I specialize in video production and motion graphics but dip my toes in the photography pool from time to time. You would be surprised at how different video and photo really are! Over the past few years, I've discovered my love for video production has its roots in my passion for telling the stories of people and events going on around me. I believe every person, event, community, etc. has a unique story just waiting to be told. I think each of our stories have been written in order to inspire, grow, and encourage others.

Van Bueren Visuals is a husband and wife team, and just so happen to have met at a wedding. This was one of the first times Jake had filmed a wedding and was doing it as a favor for a friend. Macie was there as a guest, but managed to steal the attention of the videographer on the dance floor. From there, their love of creating films for weddings grew just as much as their love of each other. Now they grow together in love, creativity, and being sure to capture each wedding on film as they would have wanted for their wedding.

I begun my film career when the first Lord of the Rings film was released. From that moment, I knew I had to make films and have been doing it ever since. Weddings are the best because they hit all the major qualifications for a good film: music, emotion, story, drama, beauty.

I am a cinematographer based out of Rochester, New York. In over ten years I’ve evolved from shooting choppy ski movies on a beat up GoPro to professionally delivering high-quality films for couples seeking to preserve their special days. When I watch my old GoPro footage, even all these years later, I can feel myself transported back to that time and place, just like I can with the thousands of other videos that I’ve taken since. It’s that power to preserve special moments - and the different constellations of memories and emotions that make them special - that drove me to cultivate filmography as a hobby.
